It's possible but almost never seen. I've seen a few, and provided dozens more.
Few people bother anymore because the current system sucks ass. |

Only time I can provide strikes for my Corp in PC is when we're already winning. If I wanted to provide defensive support, I'm just out of luck.
We need a system like the FanFest tournament, where holding the satellite in orbit earns you a strike at regular intervals. This makes the EVE pilot an actual threat and asset, and provides more incentive for players of both games to work together.
Which, unless I'm severely mistaken, was the whole point of making this game in the first place. |

Forlorn Destrier wrote: This is also true - after all OB's in PC kill blues, and given how large of an area that they cover, this can devestate the team that calls it in. This really needs to be addressed by CCP as this mechanic is very broken since PC was released.
Exactly. The risk of killing your own forces outweighs any supposed "risk" of spamming.
Besides, the cooldown doesn't have to be the 30 seconds it was in the tournament. Personally, I'd say to set it at 60-90 seconds.

Getting in eve pilot in the right place at the right time is very difficult. If you don't get the name (exact spelling, too) and district number before the fight starts, you're screwed. Not to mention the pilot is forced to be in factional warfare (think it's like a corp) You pretty much have to be in a hybrid Corp that's part of a Faction Militia to get those strikes reliably right now. |

Of course that may have changed but I don't think it has. It hasn't. You still have to be in the Militia or have your Corp in the Militia. |

Warbarge strikes' speed and still good power make real OBs obsolete. EVE provided ones are far superior, but no EVE player is going to hang out for 15-30 minutes on the off chance he MIGHT get to support his buddies. |
