I analyzed the post-nerf flaylock. If you want some numbers, they're there. Otherwise, here's the short of it: the flaylock is still a decent sidearm, but it can't function as a primary weapon anymore. |

I personally think the flaylock is still good. Having the least PG/CPU makes it unique for those more stressed fittings, and it's a direct hit weapon.
However, that means the variants need a redo.
- Because flaylocks are now direct hit weapons, the Breach Flaylock (standard only) is far more powerful than the core flaylock (think it's by about 50 points of damage).
- The specialist is also advanced only- I wanted to say this last build, but I didn't want to add to the flaylock hate- why does the specialist have no downside? It costs more, but that's expected from side variants.
- Finally, the core is the only option for prototype flaylocks.

^ Flaylock is not a direct hit weapon. I used it yesturday for a few matches and kicked some butt with playing the same way I did before the changes. Sure it's not as a effective in radius and dmg, but I can still people in one clip by shoot around them, instead of hitting them directly.
You just need to aim a little closer and shoot one more missile. |

Pfffft, can't be used as a primary weapon? I know of at least 2 flaylock users that could prove you wrong. |

I broke out my flaylock main fit yesterday and it got the job done.
it's definitely a side arm now, but in a clutch it works fine. |

well idk if it's on my end or the increase of bs lag since 1.3, but the flaylock is nor reliable for me anymore. on a game i had today a guy was hiding behind a barrel and i was shooting direct besides him and even when it was a core flaylock he didnt even got any damage at all... i shotted 0.5 m besides him and didnt dealt any damage... i had more issues were rockerts will fly through bodies not damaging them and so on...
in conclusion as scout i need a reliable sidearm when my shotgun fails (these days like 70% of the time) and the flaylock isnt reliable for me anymore.
but i felt in love with the adv smg.. i love this thing... i like it even more than my ishokune assault smg |

You just need to aim a little closer and shoot one more missile. With the size of the splash radius, you're better off going for direct hits than splash. |

Everyone is having the same issues. Some peeps have better connections now, some (myself included) are worse. Funny thing is I always considered the AOE weapons to be CCPs nod to players who cannot aim, or have terrible connections. I underestimated the combinations of cooking accounts and fit of the minute, |

The flaylock is by no means a direct hit weapon. The splash damage is still barely lower than the direct. I hope you weren't just taking the dev blog on it at face value. |
