I've lost a stupid amount of ISK in LAVs just because I drive near a computer-controlled blaster turret and it practically head shots me out of my seat in like 2 shots. Then by the time I get back to my LAV, its gone or destroyed.
Must I use a MLT heavy suit just to drive my LAV? What if the situation calls for me to be in a light suit when Im driving? "Pilot" suits are going to be a light suit, are they not...? That is just a bit silly, don't you think...?
This is getting old.
If you really wanted to stop these outrageous murder taxis, THEN BALANCE THE LOGGY LAVS THEMSELVES.
otherwise, can I get the 3-to-4 some-odd-million ISK back I've lost to this ridiculousness...?
not to mention how badly the active module wheel selector works... I kill my self half the time because I deactivate or activate something wrong in the heat of battle...
Put in vehicle hotkey macros while you're at it, Christ... It's been like a year... |

Not that I don't agree with the bottom half of what you're saying...
But those turrets are utterly useless 90% of the time, used more as markers for players to fight over then actual battle-tools. And since they're effective against road-ragers who drive near them - there's something wrong? I drive a logi-lav myself - in a ADV heavy admittly - and I feel your pain. Which is why I STOPPED driving near them. Lol
If you don't like em switch to swarm and you won't have to deal with it anymore.

Yup those blaster turrets (be a tank or installation) are ******* ridiculous. I don't understand why do they auto-lock on your clone driver. Why the hell are blasters the only ones able to do this? Surely pilot suits won't be able to drive LAVs if this glitch is not fixed by then.

I got a solution for this... Grab a fistful of rocks and sprinkle it on top of rice. now eat it, make sure to flush it down with cement mixed water now wait 30minutes, you'll feel that you've harden the f*** up. |

I think OP means hes being shot out, not blown up.
I know what he is talking about and its been around since ever. It a bit ridiculous how the turret can track you faster than a player can and shoot you out of your vehicle in .005 milliseconds. |

What he's talking about came around with one of the hot patches after 1.2, ANY enemy blaster be it the turret on an LAV or a HAV or yes a Installation.
You can test this out yourself, even if you shoot the passenger side rear tire it still shoots the driver out. I think it has something to do with when they balanced the hit detection for explosives it may have affected blaster splash damage as well.
I mean if you're hitting me fine, you got me. But when you're shooting my tire or my rear quarter panel and it kills me thats just some straight BS while my LAV coasts to a stop and an enemy blows it up a short while later. |

I for one am all for LAV changes and have made many suggestions such as having the armor that is currently left in the pool of a drop suit to transfer as damage to the LAV each time you hit someone.
I have no want or need to be GOD-MODE LLAV, BUT that being said, not even coming CLOSE to hitting me yet killing me is not the answer. |

I actually want the turrets to be smarter and actually defend the places that they are entrenched in, but again not even hitting me yet killing me is not the answer. |

Seriously because of the blaster splash *glitch* you HAVE to drive around in a heavy suit just to get your teammates from A to B, and when you are in a repper position since this is becoming more and more known amongst the community, the blaster just targets the LLAV behind whatever it's repping at the time for less than 2 seconds and the driver dies and along with him the reps.
Again, hitting the driver and killing him outta the drivers seat is good shooting and a well deserved kill, but shooting the rear quarter panel, tire, turret, ground in front of the LAV and getting the kill is just nonsense.

1. didn't you see the big orange icon on both your UI and radar?
2. if you were repping a tank...a) i hope it was shooting the installation out ... b)why didnt you take cover behind the tank?
no not everything is black and white, maybe the installation was at elevation regards you. Regardless, i'd like to maintain the illusion that CCP has coded this in for the mental health of its non-LLAV exploiter community.
pro-tip: avoid installations mate, they seem to be able to kill you.

Where did I say that I got shot by installation while repping a tank? Nowhere, although if you level your reading comprehension to level 5 you might be able to see where I said

In other words other players are beginning to catch on that it only takes a SPLIT SECOND to kill the driver since you don't even have to aim for them, just just have to kinda hit near them or on their LAV in any part of its chassis to get the kill in less than 2 seconds and then return to firing on your main target unimpeded. |

Scattered Large Neutrons do the same, aim in the generalized hood area and you'll kill the pilot just every time. After killing 4 chary/limbus in a match this manner I felt it was unfair and never utilized that HAV again. |
