 Can you salt the earth with them? Or do they expire after a few seconds and you basically have to throw only when a vehicle is nearby? I can't figure it out from what few chances I've had in combat to test it.

 Currently they have a shorter fuse timer so you have to throw it while a vehicle is in range, older times the fuses would be very long and a vehicle could run over it but no longer the case.

 If I see a vehicle and I think it might come my way, I spam the ground with av nades and then stand in the open and bait them to run me over. Won't work with LLAVs obviously, even though I use Lai Dais. Can still be effective if time right. Also you might have to jump out of the way as the flaming wreckage might still kill you if you're too close.

I've come to realise that minor damage may as well be lethal and don't circle around.
