I've been playing Dust 514 for just over 4 or 5 months or so now (+- 4,5mil SP). I've been working towards acquiring a Logistics ck.0 for what felt like 2 years. Up until yesterday I've been using a Caldari medium basic suit to successfully fight in instant battles. Eventually, yesterday I was able to use a logistics ck.0 for the first time. Everyone new to Dust can imagine how excited I was. I equipped my dropsuit, and immediately set out to find the some pub matches to stomp in as I heard that this suit was beast!
I'm still suffering from shock of what happened to me. I've lost so much isk today I don't know what to do. I know DEATH IS SUPPOSED TO COME TO US ALL, but I'm still not sure how it all went down. I made my fit and was exiting the redline like all of the other players seem to do. Sometimes I would spawn on the alien looking things but this suit just doesn't stay alive. warped to the location, and 30 seconds later my pod was floating in space. The total value of my loss today was approximately 15 million isk. What a complete idiot I am.
I had two precision mods equipped, but was still unable to see anyone before they killed me. Why would this be?
Can someone please tell me if instant battles are supposed to be done in a group, or can you actually do them solo?
I now have skilled into a useless suit and have no leftover sp, and have to literally start over again. I am so unmotivated.....
I guess I should stop complaining, and get back to fighting red-dots again. I suppose I should buy some more basic suits, and slowly work my way up to 20 million ISK again.

So the lessons that we learned:
-There are people out there who do want to give advice on good fits
-You should read replies to threads
-Dual-tanking ineffieciently is stupid
-Don't spam proto-gear you don't have the skills for
-If you don't know why something is FOTM don't use it |
