See look at that, AV and HAVs kill LAVs, and here I thought they were impossible ^_^ |

I have, use a soma, shoot the car, all the passengers die :)

Drive around while you struggle to turn the turret > Get out of LAV > Forge Gun + Packed AV Grenades
Alternatively, provided you do kill the LAV

AV counters Tank. Take the advice the rest of the infantry gives tankers, use cover, play with a team :)

Oh and driver with AV nades = dead Soma.
Can't stack 4k shields soz, you can do about 3400 but you lose your booster. 2.9k seems about max for a legit setup. |

You don't really need a booster as the shield recharge is good enough. LLAVs with 3.5k shields and 50% resists are so dumb.
Recharge rate on all vehicles is awful, so no, for the LLAV you need a booster, or a red line to keep running back to to recall.
You know what is dumb? AV Grenades that do as much as an entire swarm volley. |

Use a Limbus then just hit up the base Supply Depot whenever it gets even remotely damaged - that's what the pro's do. Face it Jason, you're defending the damn things but you're the only person in the WORLD who honestly thinks that these things are even remotely balanced. Hell even the Imperfects disagree with you and that surprised even me - and I used to hate them (though lately I've found myself agreeing with a lot of their prospective points....)
Why? 6 Lai Dai's baby. ;)
I don't believe they are balanced, but I sure as hell don't believe they should be hotfixed, and certainly not in the way most of you guys feel is just. I'll defend the LLAV because I honestly want to use it as support.
Give me a speed reduction, give me massive damage for running people over, make it so when I activate the infantry repper, instead of locking on, it heals in a circular radius, give me Guardian Points for when players inside my bubble get kills. Make it so the turret doesn't shoot the front of the LAV when firing, but do not make them weaker as most of you people want, I pay 250k for my LLAV, I can be shot out of it easily enough and if I had any less eHP I'd be dying constantly to swarms, despite being in a Charybdis |

But a soma vs. a limbus? No way.
And now when we realise you NEED LAV SKILLS TO GET TO HAVs, we find the problem to your thread title.
For whilst a tank can defeat an LAV of similar meta levels, getting that tank is far more excruciating SP-wise than getting that same LAV.
So why go that extra step into HAV skills, when you can fit an unstoppable LAV?
Wrong.
A Soma with a Blaster will kill a Baloch, a Soma with a Blaster will demolish the driver of either LLAV. Just aim for the LAV and you will kill the driver. |

Proxy Mines need a buff, but it scares me when I'm racing down the road and get hit by about 12 Proximity Mines, I'm dead of course, that if we do buff them, people will be able to instagib any vehicle on the road lol. |

Aeon Amadi wrote:Okay, so basically what I'm hearing is that an HAV with a Scattered Blaster will -NOT- kill an LAV, but the driver within and that's by sheer technicality because the hit boxes are wonky.
So, instead of proposing a legitimate AV path that anyone can use you literally have to spec into Vehicles in order to handle up on the LAVs.
Am I the only person here who thinks this is just INSANE?
Read my other post. This doesn't look like its going to get fixed soon, and it shouldn't until the rebalance. You want to nerf LAVs, that's fine, but I've offered all of you a reasonable alternative rather than crying at this moment in time. |
