Chapter IV: Bojo The Fantastic
Bojo kicked open the escape pod. He withdrew his cigar from his satchel. He fumbled in his satchel, his hand blindly searched. No matches.
Bojo glanced downward. A flame was present at the edge of the depression. He approached it and knelt down to it, lighting his cigar and puffing. He returned his glance upward. 350 meters of burning ship lay at the bottom of the crater. Bojo ran down into the wreckage. Falling wreckage illuminated the sky. As Bojo picked his way through the destruction, a low rumbling began above him, high above him. In short time, it was earth quaking. Bojo hastened his search. He must find a means of transport and fast.
*POP!*
Bojo wrenched his eyes upward. The second ship was crashing, he had no time. Bojo left the wreck, powering up and out of the crater. He kept on going, towards an illumination far away. He was maybe 300 meters from the wreckage by the time the next ship crashed. The most agonizingly loud sound rained out from the exploding crash, which crashed maybe a kilometer from the previous crash site.
A wall of dust picked up and quickly caught Bojo. He ran until he found an overhang, in which he hid until the wall of dust passed. When it had, Bojo peered back, and saw his destruction. But more so, he saw the armada of MCCs breaching the atmosphere. Static charges of the wreckage, dust, and atmosphere brought lightning all over the crash site. Bojo returned to his flee, but it was inevitable.
The Jets came roaring by. The sound of RDVs deploying far an near plagued Bojo. He kept his pace. His mission; find a spaceport and leave the planet.

A dropship came zooming over Bojo. It hockey stopped 50 meters in front of him. Bojo pulled out his Scrambler pistol as the Missile turret began to fire. Bojo had nowhere to hide, the sand dunes of the moon were all he had. He zig zagged his way up towards the dropship. The gunner was outmaneuvered. When Bojo was maybe 20 meters out, the squad deployed. Out hopped a group of heavy machine gunners. Their weapons fired but Bojo shot the support strap off of the lead HMG. The heavy lost control over his weapon and was disarmed. Bojo leaped up, onto the heavy's shoulders and leaped up onto the low dropship. He threw his legs in as the HMGs below started to pepper their own dropship. The gunners withdrew from their positions but Bojo threw them overboard. He made it to the cockpit where he sprayed the pilots brains all over the left window. Bojo quickly unbuckled the cadaver and took its place.
Bojo banked the dropship 180 degrees but saw his new threat. There on the ground, the heavies began to withdraw Forge guns from a crate that had dropped with them. Bojo punched the acceleration and activated the afterburners. He booked it but two forge hits came and ripped off the rear-left engine. The ship was aflame, 180 meters in the air and descending to crash. The cockpit glowed in the red emergency lights. Bojo made his way out of the cockpit towards the back. 70 meters and closing. Bojo kicked out the bay doors and looked down the dropship through the cockpit windshield, seeing the ground closing in fast.
He leaped out, 40 meters in the air, his inertia dampeners could not deploy. He hit the ground. |
