Not asking for a nerf so please read carefully:
Currently on Dust the rate of Forge gunners are increasing. While this is a good thing for the weapn, it also means it could be it's downfall. I am seeing an ever increasing amount of forge gunners that go way high up to the sky scrapers and just mow anything from snipers, normal infantry, tanks, to dropships trying to reach it.
If this keeps up and if it keeps increasing, sadly, the amount of threads that the forge gun is OP will increase, and I know how you forge gunners are trying to defend the gun with all your might but in reality it is you guys that are even causing for this threads to constantly appear. If you forge gunners don't want your beloved forge gun to meet the nerf hammer then it is up to you to stop it.
I have clearly no problem with forge gunners on the ground, even if they are more vulnerable there, people won't complain as much. But everyone has problem with them being way high up and unkillable since they can easily destroy the dropships coming towards them and kill any snipers that threaten them and since they have heavy armour they can support a good amout of damage before falling.
Like I said not asking for a nerf. Just for this trend to die down a little. Then the QQ threads on the forge gun will die slowly and the forge gunners can go a day without worrying on seeing a forge gun nerf on Dust's next patch notes. . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . Either that or CCP can simple make every sky scrapper have tall, very thin edges so that way no one that high up will be problem.

Exactly. The forge gun is safe for now..... who knows if maybe by 1.4 or 1.5 we'll be seeing a nerf on them which will bring the forge gunners raging but really all I can say is that they brought that upon themselves by constantly using the tactic of going very high up and owining everyone just for the lols |

Honestly it's not really a problem like LAVs used to be...but they didn't learn anything from the old swarm launcher back in closed beta?

The relatively low structures aren't that big of a deal, and make for an interesting dynamic. The "mushroom building" is a good example of relative height advantage done right. Those extremely tall towers around the outside of Line Harvest and in the middle of the large complex with the Bravo point that is inside the building,, on the other hand, are the real problem.
Get rid of the obviously exploitable map elements, and the exploitation of those elements go with it.
They can't get rid of them because then the maps will look even more bland.
What is funny is that adding those flat, thin edges on each tall building was dicosed during the closed beta because of snipers and forge gunners taking advantage of that. But instead of CCP adding that, they added a flight ceiling height. Which reduce the problem by alot (some stil found a way to get up there by using bosters on the dropships)
But now that the flight ceiling has been lifted everyone can get up there which means forge gun galore up there. Not even snipers like to hang on those towers anymore. |

When exactly did I say "pls nerf the gun's damage or rate of fire" I said no such things. I just clearly stated the reason WHY many people want a nerf on the forge gun. And everyone knows it.
Forge Guns are fine. You need to hit near the enemy in order to kill them, and they do a good damage amunt on vehicles. I will not complain on the dropship though since CCP stated that 1.4 will be a vehicle patch. I smell a dropship buff. Also the tanks we have right now aren't exactly proto tanks. So that's why a a single forge can destroy them so easily. Now when proto tanks are added back again I'll see if the forge gunners are still finding an easy way to destrpoytanks.
Other than all don't get all butthurt on me simplly because I stated the right facts on why alot of non-forgers want the gun nerfed. So calm your **** dude. |

You sir get my drift. Even if the forge gun is fine, this continuous play style will drive the players crazy and rage about the forge gun even more.
If the forge gunners that use that play style were to tone it down a little then the wouldn't have to worry about the forge gun getting hit with the nerf hammer |
