Inb4 Laser is still OP and needs a nerf

I like the laser to, but i'm terrible with it.

If anything the ammo amount should be buffed to like 800,. not even kidding

Okay, so I was thinking, I wonder when Beam Lasers are going to come out, and then I thought to myself, Beam Lasers will be **** on aircraft. But, it might be good for hovering and burning dropsuits.....Nah, it'll still be ****. Pulse Lasers FTW!

After the lens flare got dumbed down and the range buff, I'm seeing a few more lasers out there, good ones too. People just haven't caught on that it's never going to be as OP as the Viziam in Chrome.

It's funny, back before uprising I used to run like hell when I was getting lasered. Then for a long time I was like, "whatever, stop shooting me with your nerf gun, lol" but I actually got killed a couple times in the last several weeks and now I actually have to pay attention again. I may just have to give them a try again once they fix those ludicrous sights...

Some people seem to like the sights and think they're helpful. Supposedly, if a person's whole body isn't within the sight, you're too close. Might need to preheat a bit too.

So if you don't know I like the Amarr..... I also like all things Amarrian. I also like Lasers.

So I'm off lasering and doing my thing burning all the heretics and apostates I see and finally at the end of the match I get killed by this guy. So I was probably 11/1 or something like that at the end of the match.

This unnamed soul sends me this message telling me to get a gun game, stop using such a ***** ass weapon, and come down and fight him instead of hiding up on some pipes killing him.

So I looked at the score board.... he was 3/13 so I figured at least 4-5 of his deaths were me....

Messaged him back asking how I did better than him with a gimped gun.... to this day he has not responded to me.

Nah you can hit your targets just by hovering over them with the tip of the sight but that covering the body thing is a good rule to live by. I can get behind that.

From playing around with some AUR lasers, that looks to be a good rule of thumb. The only thing that sucks is how stiff it is when you ADS. I had to turn my sensitivity up just to stay on target.

I too am an Amarrian Enthusiast and remember my Chrome days when being Amarrian meant you had to go laser heavy.

I hope one day I will get a gun game and can also go 3/13.

Edit: CCP, give us Amarrian AV so that I can finally ditch the militia forges!

I want large laser turrets for my tank. I want it so bad.

i feel so pleased. i just upgraded more sp to my laser related options and spent more isk to get the elm 7 on my minmatar medium suit along with many new modules.

Lastnight i tested all sorts of different set ups and i finally found the one that gives me a much higher K/D ratio.



I love watching all of you trying to storm at me across the land only to get wasted by a few seconds from my laser.

You are preaching to the choir once I get my Amarrian MTAC's I will never again question CCP. Aero my PIE buddy would love to fly Amarr dropships and I would love to gun for him with laser turrets, while Im sure Metsar would love to drive Amarrian tanks....

but such it not to be ours for many months.

So surely I'm not the only one upset that they are adding an sight to the laser? I have already grown accustom to a lot of references with determining distance with the iron sights and never had much of a problem with it. Wish CCP would keep the iron sight versions in and have a dot sight variant.



Only problem is I'm not sure when I should start saving up my SP. I want to start saving up now, but then again Amarr vehicles may be another year or two down the line and I may as well skill up my laser proficiency.

Lasers do not need a nerf. If you do good with it then you have skill. It isnt until after proficiency 3 it starts becoming pretty damn deadly. So you have to SKILL into it. Isnt that the point of running a role? Spending time and sp on a particular weapon? Max out any weapon on this game and it will seem "OP". There are ways to avoid being killed by every weapon on this game. Certain ones you keep your distance, others you close in on the enemy, and some you try not to be in the open. Use your brains while you play and adapt to the battle scenarios that are present and maybe you will realize that thing dont need nerfed, your play style needs buffed. Lol. For real though.

I liked the laser, seriously considered giving up the boring AR for it... but the gold etching puts me off -_- I don't like the weapons of our hated oppressors. I want a weapon held together by gaffer tape with lots of exposed wiring.

Laser is a tough world...pretty sure the tac still out ranges it...check your distance. I believe laser does 0% at 93 meters. Only a window still for good damage and I totally agree on upping the ammo. It is not easy to kill 2 people 1 clip...with 400 rounds...make kill with all ammo is 8 people. You need nanohives.

yeah, i think in general some things could be aesthetically redesigned and better looking.
