What would PC look like if you could only have a team made up of the corps actually in the attack or defense? No ringers. Would it be a better and more competitive landscape?
If you were a corp that could only field 10, then that's all you get. Alliances would still matter, but everyone would have to be a lot more strategic.
Anyway, I was thinking that this morning. It would be an interesting dynamic. |

I don't know, you could still hire mercs to attack for you. They would just have to lead the attacks on their own. And do you think there would be less participation?
I don't know. I think more corps would get into PC if they knew who they were fighting or defending against.
Just thoughts. |

Max Tankitus wrote:Basically if you are down with a game with a very tiny playerbase where roughly 5% of those players control the goings on in PC in some shape or form then dust is for you.
If you made PC corp only, it would just make it more difficult to ring. ringers would need to temporarily join the corporation fighting.
In the end no matter what CCP does, the general idea behind Dust 514 will never change. The majority of this game is designed to be player driven and controled.
You heard it correctly, CCP left this shooter game in the hands of a bunch of FPS players and EvE fanbois.
Good point about people finding a way to bring ringers in, no matter how it's built. |

it doesn't matter to me if you see validity in the idea, but ringers make it more interesting for whom? |

CHICAGOCUBS4EVER wrote:The term 'ringer' has an exceptionally loose definition on this game. The presence of alliances and having players from your alliance assist in your battles is not 'ringing' hiring or bringing in someone that has no affiliation with your corp or alliance Is. A 'ringer'
Problem is there is no distinguishing the 2, and very little to no pride in corps doing anything on their own. This is the inherent issue that's causing so muuch QQ lately.
Is there a solution? No.
Should we make matches 'corp only'? No
The only thing that can put this under control is each individual corp, and we've already seen the mentality of most is that of 'win at all costs'
Good thing about the tournament. Everyone will know who will be on the other side.
As for pc, get your corp organized and able to field 6 teammates. You will be so much better off
Don't start the ringer conversation again, Cubs. We've beaten that horse to death.
Se\7eN tries as hard as possible to field a full 16 for every battle. We think that's important. There's nothing like seeing S.e.V.e.N across from every name on the scoreboard.
