I'm tired of getting the same pay as an infantry player with a starter dropsuit while I risk 1.3mil+ tanks. Just today I finally made 1.3mil without losing anything *cough*railgun sniping*cough*, but then I lose my 1.4mil railgun sniper because the p.o.s. slipped down a hill and a Soma with a particle cannon killed me. Then I lose a 600k Eryx because of a damn railgun installation and a 200k Charybdis because the p.o.s. flips too easily.
All in all, after playing for three hours and risking millions (and losing a total of 2.2mil), I went 800k negative.
I request that vehicle users get higher payouts based on how much has been risked. It's time that our careers get straightened out. It's bull**** that infantry players can have 200million in their wallet while vehicle users barely manage to keep a stable wallet. I'll have to railgun snipe if I want to break even, and whenever I bring out my missile Falchion someone either brings out a Madrugar and WTFpwns me or everyone switches to militia swarm launchers and/or a proto forge gun is brought out. |

Terrible idea - tank users can already stand a chance to go an entire battle without dying and that will be even more likely once the whole vehicle/AV thing has been balanced out by 1.5.
Back in Chromosome, when vehicles weren't certain deathtraps, we had people complaining about not making enough isk per game but everyone forgot that those tanks would often go 5 - 10 matches without being destroyed, making far more isk than they cost. When they're fixed, we'll be back in the right place again. |

If they get fixed to where we can last their payout easily to actually make a profit (notice that we are just using STD gear people, and is barely, sometimes not even making one) like the infantry, then no. If not, yes.

Yeah, vehicles need love, but more ISK isn't quite the answer.
Vehicles need proto and advanced variants of every model, cause its the proto AV versus Standard tank that makes it "unbalanced".
And I can testify, that most infantry don't have millions of ISK in the wallet. I can barely keep 300k in that darn thing. |

or cut the vehicles, modules & turrets price, there must be one solution.

If they get "fixed" so they can last enough matches, then I also think no ISK multiplier. But for now, at least give us something temporary to compensate for their weaknesses. |

Turret prices need to be halved back to Chromosome levels. Module prices are good right now, but 1 mil for a turret is ridiculous. |

When I run my most expensive stuff, I also run the risk of losing more isk than I've made. Or should I also get more money for dying in shinier gear?
Also, think of the noobs. Once we get a real economy going, making more isk simply for having more (rather than contributing more) is going to make them even more disadvantaged.
PS when proto tanks come out and they're like 15m a pop and still die to proto-swarms and proper tactics, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing the exact same kinds of threads. |

We only got STD vehicles, as you stated, so your first argument about using our most expensive stuff is invalid. We need more because our **** costs more, and noobs will always be disadvantaged, so your second argument is invalid. We will trash any idiot who gets soloed in a PROTO HAV (well, at least I will) =, so your third argument is invalid. You failed sir.

But you have the option of running cheaper, we don't. Militia vehicles don't count as you will lose them. We need to reduce turret costs as a starter. |

Why don't you make standard dropsuits 50k each while you're at it. At those prices only the best infantrymen will make a profit as well. |

Comparing STD tanks to PRO suits is entirely valid I think. STD tanks with proto guns are expensive. Can you get a more expensive tank? OP iswas calling for increased payouts based on gear, in which case all that matters really is the cost, not whatever 'tier' we've shoehorned it into.
Paying a premium for increases in performance, and then being paid based on that performance (as measured by war points, winning, kills, etc) is how the system works. Weather the increase in price is worth the cost is a decision that must be made. If the answer is always "pay the most to get the best under every circumstance because the system is patched to always make it worth it in the end," is frankly pretty boring. However I do understand that having to downgrade because of cost alone is also frustrating, and having to do this too much is simply unfun. I am not deaf to the plight of tankers. I'm simply trying to make the point that including "cost of what you brought/lost" into the payout equation is a serious change that would need some serious justification.
Noobs being disadvantaged by default is not a valid reason to implement a "rich get richer quicker" scheme. Neither does opposing such a scheme on the basis of noob's disadvantage an invalid argument. If you get the same KDR and same WP as someone who used a less expensive fit (as a result of lower SP or lower ISK reserves), you should not get a higher payout.
Lastly, has CCP even confirmed that ADV and PRO tanks are happening at all?
OP has since made a more reasonable request of halving turret costs. On one hand, doing this would reduce the pain tankers feel. On the other hand, expensive turrets remain the primary distinguishing factor for SP and ISK when everyone is driving the same tank, so there is at least some justification for having these be expensive in the first place. One question I have is, if you downgraded from a proto gun to an advanced one, how much isk would that shave off the cost of your tank, and consequently how long it takes before you break even? Assuming of course, survivability and payouts are not effected by using a worse turret. |
