Decide the outcome of a major battle in the EVE universe! Ignore the fact you can't pick a side or see how the battle for supremacy planet-side is going! Pretty skyboxes! Disregard that we completely blew this opportunity to showcase the district system and planetary conquest to the wider playerbase! LOOK AT THOSE LIGHTING EFFECTS! Kindly also gloss over the fact that play remains the same for this event except for debris adding more cover!

The basic of basics here was allowing a side to be chosen and giving some feedback on the wider battle. On a more complex level it would've made significantly more sense if the fighting was on the planet while the Shiigeru was still in orbit with ground troops from both sides contesting the Skyfire Cannons, the surface-to-space weapon batteries. Gallente strike teams would be attempting to wrest them from the Caldari and turn their fire away from their own navy and onto the Shiigeru.

Hell, depending on how it was set up a Dust player could've been the one to fire the killing shot, the merc who bagged a Titan and made it into the annals of EVE history.

But nope, none of that. Can't even pick a side.

CCP screwed up big with Caldari Prime. Hopefully they are taking notes for next time.
