I could give advice to be like BHD.
But then, who wants to be like BHD?
You would have to avoid fighting any other corp.

Ups, seems like I touched a nerve.
I'm impressed that you guys fought 2 battles in 2 and a half months. You should take a rest, that's 2 more than you ever fought.
I have nothing against BHD, but since you start trash talking my corp, I will answer in kind.
So DBD used ringers and blamed the lag? Talk trash to them then, not us. And about the ringers thing, everybody have used ringers or have had to fight a team with ringers. Complaining about them is childish.
If you ever want to fight us in a no ringer battle, just tell us beforehand and we can arrange something.

Really looking forward to the first stream of a devious LA or Infiltrator just getting right up in their main zerg and watching them all TK each other trying to get the one guy in the mix whos blended in with similar team camo and drops C4 into them and takes it out. Yes this will happen btw.
I've never thought so much hatred could fit into such a small man.
Try to forget about KEQ. Being so bitter cannot be good for you.

I remember Wakko, Phoenix Archer and Winscar Shinobi on your team. I remember it was a good battle, but not the weapons XD |

There is some irony there, considering you were the leader of =V=.
Shame on you, EnglishSnake.

ps2 isnt any diff than dust in terms of p2w and VISION gets u no points in the "is it a turd?" argument im not asking what dust can be 10yrs from now im asking what is it NOW.
PS2 is more polished and SOE has done a great job at maintaining and improving their game.
But the fun factor is not there for me. Too many hours roaming around taking empty bases, and the feeling that nothing that players do really matter.
PS2 has not been able to equal MAG's fun factor for me. Neither has Dust, but it's closer.
Things when PS2 get the new battle island. |

And proud of it. I have not changed my name, after all. I would still be there if you hadn't.
Trying to shame me for being in KEQ is as useless as trying to shame me for being in =V=. I know what we are and I like being here. |

Try playing as TR on the Connery Server and go to where the fights are. There is plenty of action to be had. Only thing that isnt viable in PS2 is solo play. Beyond that a good squad can focus in on small objectives or completely harras enemy troop movements along ridgelines and cliffs. The fun factor really ramps up with the changes in the lattice and resource flow coming. It drives the battles in a more meaningful and purposeful way.
Sorry about before, but I will answer trash talk with trash talk. And vice versa.
To be honest, I have not played PS2 the last couple of months, so I have not seen the new lattice system in action. I think I will listen to you and give it a try again. I shudder just to think on grinding on another game.
(I'm thinking that maybe listening to the advice of a guy that wants to see me facerolled, my supply lines cut, and me getting flanked from multiple ways, might not be such a good idea after all... )

Nomed Deeps wrote:BTW, how did PS2 get a part in this conversation?
Long story. I think it started with a Middle Management post in page 2.
Nomed Deeps wrote:As for KEQ attacking us, we're fine with it. We understand to stay in PC, you must pick your battles and KEQ was obviously not comfortable attacking anyone else that had been in PC for a while. Like the others that have been in PC a while, they find it safest to pick on those that are smaller and just getting into PC.
-I'm going to give you a +1 for being realistic. I don't know why we attacked you, but maybe you went a little too far in the "they attacked us because we are weak" department. For all we knew, we may have found 2 squads of Teamplayers waiting for us.
-KEQ has been fighting first Unclaimed and then LOI for 2 months. Every single day, except 3. Forgive us if we want to take a break just for one day.
-Exemplars has more districts than KEQ. So we are, actually, smaller.
-If this was your last district, I don't think we would attack it. Can't promise since I am not at a decision making level.
I see a lot of posts in the War Room from corps that complain about being attacked because they are too small and inexperienced. I don't understand your reasoning. Are you saying that just because you are small and inexperienced you all are entitled to keep 3-4 districts without fighting?
Guys, this is PC. No one is entitled to anything here. Be ready to fight if you are here, or you won't be here for long. Yes, EON, and SI all talk about getting more corps in Molden Heath, and they will help them get established. But it is because they want more fights, not because they want more corps farming districts and sitting on their arses.
PC is for fighting. If you don't like to fight, go somewhere else. If you are too small and inexperienced, then recruit, make friends, and get that experience through fighting. If you get thrown out of Molden Heath, just try again.

Are you saying that just because you are small and inexperienced you all are entitled to keep 3-4 districts without fighting? I don't think you understand. We're here to fight. But we want to "work our way up". I think a lot of groups feel the same way. We haven't had as much practice as some other corps, and we need to face people on or slightly above our level as a team. We have such opponents scoped out, lined up, etc. But if the big kids can't play amongst themselves... we never get the chance. And even when we do, attack someone who's beaten us once, then we've beaten them once, they just go stack up on EoN ringers, and that becomes the end of that. This is something that, mind you, would be better fixed with corp battles, so we have practice areas. But right now, we're stuck putting up with this. We aren't here to farm ISK. It'd be nice to break even so that we can afford to continue to get involved, but we are here to fight. In case you're curious, the reason we try and give corps a few districts, is so that they do have a good chance for some decent fighting, as in more than two matches, before EoN or ROFL or similar decides to shove us off.. But it kinda sucks when everyone and their brother chooses to attack us at the exact same time.
Didn't you see the op? We are KEQ. Scrubs and retards. By definition, we can't be big kids.
I understand your position as well. It is too hard for new corps to enter Planetary Conquest. But the fault lies in CCP and its bad design, not on the players. There should be an option for consensual matches for corps that don't want/are not ready to get into Planetary Conquest. A lot of players and corps have asked for that, but CCP did not listen. Buffing LAVs HP by 60% got priority. Go figures. So I'm going to answer some of your points:
- "and we need to face people on or slightly above our level as a team" Get 30 million, and launch an attack on a corp in planet fight club. There are a lot of days in which not a single battle is fought there .(I know because I look :P) 16 people can get 30 million in 2 days. You risk nothing, you gain the experience you want. You even get to choose your opponent. Or you can talk to us. KEQ has a lot of players that are too green to be in tough PC matches. Get in contact with us and arrange a practice match with a clone pack, and we will oblige if we can, or look for another date.
-It'd be nice to break even: It would, wouldn't it? Sorry, but nobody breaks even in Planetary Conquest. This mode is designed to be an ISK sink. The only people that might make some money are the very big landowners, like Seraphim Initiative in its day, or some EON corps now. The rest, we just grind our money in pubs.
-The big kids: Right now, your alliance has more districts than Rofl. The only big kid left in PC is EON, and maybe NF if they ever decide to come back.
-at the exact same time.: Change your timers? I know sometimes you can't do that. I know the feeling, since we are not strangers to it. I still remember that week when we had 2 attacks by Hellstorm, 1 by Seraphim, 1 by Teamplayers and 1 by Molon Labe. Each day for three days, with some overlapping timers. We didn't win many of those, believe me. But we won a couple. ;)
And we didn't come here to complain about us being dogpiled, because we know that when you enter PC, you expose yourself to that. It was totally legit for those corps to do that and attack us at the same time. Fight or flee. Or surrender, some people choose that.
I think there is this not written rule about not taking the last district of a corp. KEQ was not given that option. I don't talk for my corp, but you shouldn't have to worry about us wiping any small corp from the map. On the other hand, if you have more districts than us, then I feel you are a legit target.
TL;DR
I know that getting into PC is almost impossible for new Corps. The fault lies in CCP's faulty design, the SP system that requires months so you can be competitive, and the absence of a consensual Corp battle system. EON and CRONOS have made an effort to get some space for you guys in Molden Heath, so you get a chance to practice.
However, Planetary Conquest is not a place for consensual PVP. The sooner you accept that, the better. And if you have more than 1 district, most people will consider you a legit target. |
