First AFK farming is an exploit. SP = Skill, free skills for those who abuse a mechanic, it is cheating.
Shooting through MCC walls and shields, dropping R/Es into the hidden pocket on objectives. Shooting through known hollow walls and hills. All this stuff was happening during BETA. They were supposed to be logged and reported, instead the BETA crowd took full advantage. Multiple accounts for passive SP is also an issue, but standard procedure in EVE as I hear.
You defend AFKing for free ISK and SP. This alone most people consider an exploit. It was reported as an exploit, but instead of being fixed.......... became standard procedure for people the game simply does not need to succeed. We'd be better off without them.
CCP never said, nor the CPM, that AFK is an exploit. So your little explanation of why it is, is null and void.
It's a game mechanic. You get SP for time spent in game. I thought EVE is all about HTFU and "adapt or die"... seems people are adapting pretty well to a mechanic in game
lol you wanted people to get banned in Beta? Are you kidding me? That's what a beta is for! For testing and finding out these glitches.
I'm not sure how to respond to this, you missed the point entirely. I suspect your fear is CCP will sit up and take notice of just how accurate these complaints are.. and you're guilty as charged. I could be wrong.
I've never cheated in a game, EVER. Not a matter of "principle", but i play to play. I don't boost.
I have AFK farmed though, and only cuz CCP has not said a word about it being a cheat or exploit. There's NO SP POOL so if you miss a week of SP, you don't have a chance of getting it back.
Since I don't really care anymore, and have enough SP for my class, I don't even AFK anymore. CCP can't ban people for something that's not against the rules...
Plus people spent money on boosters. If someone gets their SP reset, or banned for no reason, CCP has to refund them their money. And by no reason I mean, CCP has never said it's against the rules.
You can say it's exploiting if you want. Till I hear otherwise, you're wrong.
