Why are you getting involved without a team to fill, militia gear, a plan? I understand wanting to join the chaos but rushing into it wont get you far.
I also advise not to rely on ringers every battle you have. Build a team, familiarize yourself with them, get the chemistry. Dont be afraid to attack the bigger corps, they will teach you whats affective.
Build strats off your losses, keep attacking, have fun. That is all. |

OR....
Get ringers, every match, and let others spend your isk for you.. many new corps are approaching pc the right way, while many others employ ringers for every match they have. These are the ones who don't last the marathon. They may pull ahead early, but will soon fal behind and be left in the dust
I personally respect those tht go at it on their own, getting the experience and developing startegies that work for their particular group.
Then again I also enjoy padding my wallet as much as any.
Those that ring for free are the biggest problem. No one fights the wars of others for no personal gain. Well, no one with half aa brain at least |

Practice holding down a city and covering all entrances is my advice. Use high terrain to your advantage and make sure everyone on your team has prototype drop uplinks. |

It's still too tough. There's too much at stake for new corps to use PC as training.
Cubs, I hope you can use your sway to urge CCP into bringing back corp battles. I'm sure they'd listen to you.
It's the only way anybody is ever going to be able to give you guys a good game.
There are a lot of good players and corps out there that just don't have the tactics down. It's impossible to train in pub matches.
We tried everything we could think of to train.
I worry about where the game is headed. In my opinion corp battles could save this game while we all wait for more content.
There needs to be a strong push within the community for it. |

Well just do what a lot of people do...make a new corp and start attacking randoms. And when u beat them the first time, cal in ringers cause that's what they are gonna do.
Good practice huh...
Another idea is to hit up some corps on oddeluf. Fight club is working fairly we'll, aside from a couple corps using their clones to attack outside, and others sitting tere farming with obviously no intention of attacking anyone. Pick someone and attack.
As for my 'sway' I have none to my knowledge. I've had a dev respond about a bug a while back I made a thread about, but that's about all the interaction I've ever had with ccp.
Ill tell ya. Way to fix a lot of these issues is to make wars 'corp only' meaning no ringers for anyone. Life would be much greater for a lot of corps if this were the case |

i worry about that everyday fact is corp battles alone wont save the game the game just isnt attracting new players to it and for a game like this there always needs to b an influx of fresh players
couple reasons why DUST isnt attracting new players are as follows:
1. Low Starting SP
2. Horrible grind to get competitive and newbies ARE gonna **** up their SP in some areas so that makes it even MORE painful thus pushin them away
3. Matchmaking is nonexistant
4. Lack of tutorial/training/VR mode (suggested this since closed beta when i got in and kept the thread alive for half a year still nothing from ccp)
Vets will always leave as well so u run into a scenario where the game isnt bringing in fresh players and vets are leaving due to being tired waiting on ccp or just grabbing their new consoles/playing new more polished gamees.
DUST on PS3 is in a bad bad position, thankfully when ccp gets their **** together they hav a 2nd chance to relaunch the game with a big marketing push on PS4. This game has basically spent its entire beta and release time atm working on the core and still cant get it right and thats a problem. CCP needs more experienced FPS staff |

I try not to think when concerning this game. So much lack of common sense apparent at almost every turn. Things are improving, but most of the things were fine at one point and changing what wasnt broken is a major issue with the current state of the game,,,

Fight Club works well. Unfortunately, yeah, soon as someone faces you down, you go round 2 with them and they cry for ringers. We don't do that, so it's tough to keep getting a chance to play on evenly-matched or close-to-even fights.
There's a lot of opponents we'd really like to fight, that we've talked to and such, but we haven't gotten a chance because current and former EoN, LoI, and ROFL folks are always attacking us. |

I'm just saying, that's what keeps PC from really developing for a wide group. It's kinda like our world's nuclear arsenal. One side fights, the other side immediately calls EoN. And you know, it doesn't help when despite being told it wouldn't happen, we get attacked by half a team of EoN folks.
But it doesn't mean we won't play. |

I hear ya. Not as planned that's for sure. But obviously not much 1 person can do about it.
I just wanna know who uses ringers to attack. If they have land it gives me something to do |

The way planetary conquest is going is either you stay to be en masse zerged or all other corps wait for Eon to have made it so boring for themselves you all quit

Murder Cakes Of Doom hit us with a decent number of EoN ringers, someone from Negative-Feedback, bunch of ZionTCD folks, and some ROFL. And are doing it again today. They don't currently have any districts though.
The other fight we had, with TCD ToXiCaTeD, was only one TeamPlayers ringer in the match when they attacked us (which, you know, whatever, we can live with, your corp isn't THAT GOOD that one member makes the match), but when we counterattacked them, they chickened up and rang a pile of EoN folks. While it isn't ringing for an attack, it also prevents corps from settling their own disputes, if we can't counterattack. If you can only ring for defense, than everyone SHOULD ring for defense, and nobody would be dumb enough to attack, knowing they're certain to lose. Then nobody fights in PC, game over.
All said though, our teams have gotten in 15 matches in the past three days, it's certainly a lot more activity we've had to contend with in the past. It's been great practice, and if our little planet can roll like ten matches in a day, and CCP said pre-changes they only averaged 25 PC fights a day across all of Molden Heath, I guess PC is currently healthier than it was. |
