I wouldn't call that a "forums battle". It was more like a gathering of newb tankers calling themselves "vets" and crying on the forums about how they keep losing tanks; see the irony  . Whenever someone disagreed with them or tried to help them with good advise, the newbs told them to HTFU and vomited up copious amounts of BS logic. It got so bad that they convinced CCP to not fix an exploit.  |

Here is a fine sample of hot steaming BS logic. 
The statement implies that I have no credibility to speak on this game's tanks because I don't use them; I do by the way. So all those mercs who use AV on tanks, the one who watch tanks either dominate or blow up have no legit insight on tanking. Do you realize how stupid that is? That the equivalent of saying biologists can't comment on the microbes they observed under the microscope because they themselves are not single cell organisms. That how silly The legend345's statement is. And this is only the tip of the iceberg of the stupidity that was posted in the thread Void Echo is referring to. |

The Oxford dictionary site defines exploit as to "make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource)". The word is normally used to imply that the benefit gained is unfair.
Was the armor repair bug an exploit before it was common knowledge? No. You can't make full use of something you didn't know about.
Is the armor repair bug an exploit after it became common knowledge? Yes, because people are knowingly benefiting from a bug that is unfair to other players, particularly shield tankers and AV users.
Does crying on these forms to CCP to keep the armor repair bug so you can keep exploiting it make you look pathetic?

I find it comical that after I explain to you why your logic in discrediting others is flawed you continue to push that flawed logic, expanding on it as if more words would make it any truer. It ain't Tinkerbell, you can stop clapping now.
Also, where have I told you tanks are fine? Are you now trying to shove your hand up my ass to treat me like a sock puppet so that I'll vomit your BS? You sick pervert. 
And no, I'm not a good tanker. But neither are you. So by your own logic you should HTFU in regards to all matters that deal with tanks. |
