Use the SP and keep moving up in the skill but save the ISK and just use a MH82. The boundless cost around 5X the MH82 does. Skill up in proficiency and you shouldn't have to waste the ISK on a proto weapon when the Advance one does just as well.

I 'm poking fun at the people who think the HMG should be a death ray within line of sight (nearly is anyway), and that Heavy suits should be impervious to all but HAV bombardment (and even then, sustained fire)

When we get our next respec I'll likely just drop Assault Rifles all together, I'm having a blast with the HMG, and I've got a lot of SP tied up in the ARs. That SP would much better be used on HMG proficiency. Should I have to keep them I'll use them from time to time, but the HMG is nowhere near as bad as people claim.
