Prologue: Back in january when i heard of Dust i was amazed even to the point to buy a console, without saying im not a console player, so i did, and the game is still promising.
Now: I haven't played any BF game, just saw trailers and news, and it feel the same way when i heard of dust514, so the upcoming actions will be obvious.
Similarities that i remember right now.(Add any) "Big" maps Can ride vehicles, airships Diversity of weapons External app* Battlefield changes Commander mode
*What ccp did, merge 2 diferent types of games with a external app(TBA) was/is stunning, but the limitation to just sony(PS3,PSV) hold them from growing the player base. Now BF have something similar to the psvita app, (if you read some news you will know what im talking about), but it extend to a bigger audience not just a psvita.
I haven't played in about 2 weeks now and the upcoming events for me is just... meh. i read in some post about why they kepp playing it and i realized the same thing they said, SP grind :/ hopping the best for Dust 514 in a future.
Side note: I still think the game is beta.

I think a lot of the lads around here forget Dust514 is a MMO. It will keep developing. Guns, modules, suits and so on will be constantly balanced, tweaked and such. If you ask me it makes it a bit interesting. Plus I can take breaks easily (I don't do that SP grind everyone does here, 8mill SP is good enough). The passive SP is always nice and if I leave for a while I can always expect a better game! |

Bf4 has naval warfare, destructable environments and sniper bullets drop so the further the enemy the higher you have to aim also a revive doesn't count as a death but the killer still gets the kill |

The problem with BF 4, at least for me is:
When i buy it, play it and reach the same level thta i have in Dust, they will annouce BF 5 or another Bad Company or something else...
And DLC's, right now i can't play BF too much because every Server requires dlc maps, so i will stick with Dust for now... |

Another thing that i like on Dust that no other game have: lore, explanation bout how things work on the Eve/Dust world.
You are a clone, consciousness transference, so its okay to respawn everytime you die....Why car appear from nowhere: RDV drop them.... Those explanations are cool...
Now, you are a modern soldier...Why the hell you respawn after. headshot: "Because this is a game, duuh"
Not nough for me.
And BF has Private Server, you can call your friends and grind forever...
I play BF3 and always always find servers that don't require DLC and as for explanation? Its a ******* game and its cool Dust has the lore and everything but that doesn't mean **** to some people when the game is lacking by a large margin compared to other shooters. |

When the DLC arrived i liked the concept, But now its feel like they sell us a incomplete game holding features, chararcters and so on(like Street Fighter x Tekken,Ridge Racer psvita) to then ripoff gamers for the complete experience of the game, i prefer to buy a complete game even if i have to wait months! for the release |

Deeper customization Persistent universe. You can't conquer and profit off land in BF4. High-health strafy gameplay (increasingly rare these days). The promise of big changes to the core game come for free in the next few years (ship boarding, PVE, extreme planets like lava), not just expensive DLC that divides the players. Interesting weapon selection; scrambler rifles, laser rifles, mass drivers, HMGs. Not just 50 of a bunch of generic weapons like ARs, sniper rifles, SMGs, etc with just some tweaked stats, and different models. Absolutely free. Never having to buy a sequel, the game just get updated into the equivalent of a sequel. |

Summary: SoonGäó
But the thing is, there's no need for patience either. If you don't want to play, just leave and play the fabled, age-old game of real life for a couple of months, and when you come back it'll be like being reunited with an old, half-forgotten friend. |

Seriously? People that automatically believe DLC is a ripoff and feel they are entitled for more than they paid for need to grow the **** up and stop bitching when the DLC is fair. A lot of DLC I buy are what they are...add-ons. That they are additions for a game that don't feel like they were supposed to be in the original package. Dust may be free but its a game that has apparently "launched" when it should really be considered a beta. Map packs are fair game. If they are new maps. BF3 shipped with a decent amount of maps, game modes, and weapons to play the game without feeling anything was missing. The DLC packs have all been around a central theme and added weapons that basically work similar to other weapons. They offered extra flavor. Also with used games its a fair game for the makers to provide extra content for people to purchase.
Also I play Borderlands and the DLC is very fair. You buy the game knowing the gist of the story and it comes with a bunch of little side quests. DLC on the other hand go past or around the original style in basically a more in-depth side story from the original story that fits a central theme. That the existence of the DLC doesn't take away at all the experience from the original purchase. If you feel cheated? Thats just on the person feeling they are entitled to more than they deserve and need to stfu and grow up.
Dust is free sure but lets see...at this rate the game is years from being what CCP envisions. I play games to have fun not to sit and think "man this thing is gonna be awesome in only about 3 years!" |

I like how the only thing about dust that sets it apart is "LORE" EVE LORE. And for those that could care less about that, it's just **** in the wind. LAVA planets? really? Like environmental maps? interactive maps? (killzone 3 says Hi)
"But...But we will be able to board ships!" You mean MCC? (cause I know as hell it won't be eve ships. see them sneering over there? they say no to that idea.) Now about that boarding MCC..... like BATTLEFIELD 2043?
Which if BF keeps with the pattern of updating old games and maps, (Vietnam, wake island) I would not be surprised with a BF 2043 DLC coming out on BF4.
*holy **** dude! that would be awesome!*
Yes, my eager friend. yes it will.
Like dust for it's connection with another game, on another platform. like it for it's robust customization. But it's gonna be hard pressed to invent the wheel, of what other FPS games have already done. (or might do with the PS4) |
