I'll give a small war report from an indie perspective:
TCD Toxicated (another indie corp) attacks one of our alliance corps; we lose the first defense but win the next. Our alliance goes on the offensive but TCD hires or gets EoN ringers to fill their team. We get crushed.
Now 187 is attacking a lot of the indie corps on our planet and in our alliance.
So much for large corps and large alliances staying out of the indie wars. Now, to be clear before the trolls come in, Se\7eN doesn't care one bit. I thought it would be good to report on the what is actually happening.
This will be a ton of fun, people. It almost feels like the beginning of WWII.

*THEORY*
The powers that be *Eon* want to remove you and make you pay for more districts, or didn't want you farming cause they like to start **** and are power hungry. So if they hire ringers, hire ringers. |

TCD is known to hire anyone they can to win a PC match.
My corp had bought a district from TP before these "indie wars" and TCD jumped at the opportunity to take us out. We thought we had a good chance because we had played TCD in pubs before and we were able to handle them.
First match: The only TCD members actually in that PC match were the Squad Leaders and not all of them were even using Proto Gear. Their team was filled with OH and some ringers from their past alliance; Lokun Listammen(sp?). My corp was obviously stomped to oblivion.
Second Match: Played out very similarly except that TCD clearly didn't have the money to hire OH again so they brought in ringers from their alliance. Again, the TCD boys couldn't even field proto gear for it.
I'm not saying it's a -wrong- way to play, but don't blame any major corp that rolls with TCD. They're just fulfilling a contract. |

Except we all know (sorry to make a quick comeback) that Cubs has said indies aren't supposed to attack using ringers, only defenses. TCD toxicated should be repudiated for breaking the rules cubs has set. But it seems like cubs is allowing this to pass off despite his statements in the past. Perhaps Cubs isn't pleased with se7en and wishes to remove them through using an andy corp, then he can have no claim to responsibility for the attacks. Cubs sells an awful amount of land, he'd benefit if sevens and the others on that planet got wiped out and had to be resold. |

tbqh u are not what i would consider an indie corp indie corps i would consider those small corps that gettin their feet wet in PC, when u start forming alliances as well IMO indie status is gone ur starting to move into organised territory. ur corp been in PC a while now and very capable of fighting and wiping out real indie small corps
Official EoN. policy as to what defines an indie corp we kinda tbh winging it atm but i guess we gotta sit down and properly discuss it.
PS: also when ur CEO talks **** that can also be a problem #justsayin also this is for future reference cuz ppl seem to think this is a loophole, just because u leave ur alliance dont mean we just forget the war u started on us thats up to our discretion if we say fck it or pursue. That being said we do have a cease fire atm against LoI....cant say for how long and ur not in LoI sooooo.................again up to ppl discretion. Personally wont atk u cuz lolPC but ur def not a small corp and you can hold their own in a fight. |

Okay, the 187. attacks are like this:
They attacked us once while in League of Infamy, but did not show. Once leaving League of Infamy, they placed attacks on three of our districts.
The TCD ringers are like this:
They attacked us, and had a single TeamPlayers member. When we counterattacked, they chickened up and brought a pile of TeamPlayers and Pure Innocence. folks.
I hope this clarifies any misconceptions in this thread. *tips hat* |

Hello there,
At this time, the EoN PR department is working tirelessly to come up with a draft that will better help distinguish between a mature corp and a Indie corp.
For the record 187, in the eyes of EoN, is not considered Indie status. Furthermore, we also be investigating into why 187 is attacking indie corps.

The statements made about 187. in this post are not true. First the comment about 187 attacking a lot of indie corp on the planet Osvetur V. We are only attacking one corporation that is indie and that corporation is New Eden's Most Wanted. Now with the idea that S.e.V.e.N being a indie corp is simply not true. The Representative from S.e.V.e.N. even says in his post that his corp is in a alliance. This means that his fact are wrong about 187. attacking many indie corporations on the planet Osvetur V false. Also the Corporation 187, is not large by any means and has never rang for Cake of Doom. |

The statements made about 187. in this post are not true. First the comment about 187 attacking a lot of indie corp on the planet Osvetur V. We are only attacking one corporation and that corporation is New Eden's Most Wanted. Now with the idea that S.e.V.e.N being a indie corp is simply not true. The Representative from S.e.V.e.N. even says in his post that his corp is in a alliance. This means that his fact are wrong about 187. attacking many indie corporation on the planet Osvetur V false. Also the Corporation 187, is not large by any means and has never rang for Cake of Doom.
Explain this, This afternoon a person named "BobThe 844-1 CakeMan" ended up entering a squad i joined with a good player named "Vethosis". In this squad while we were chatting Cakeman brought up the idea to make a channel, and he named it "Cakes Pub". During this, he told us how he was spamming literally everyone he knew and added as a contact, whether he really knew them or not he didn't care. Shortly therafter it started filling up with people (I was one of the first to join wondering why he was making this). And over and over he kept on going on about how it was so amazing that his channel was getting so packed so fast, he must have said it at least more than 5 times in the conversation. Now keep in mind, people were asking why he even created it, and his response was simply "for pure awesomeness and cake!", just a fun, little response. After listening to enough of the blabbing on and on about random nothingness i turned my voice off of the channel and went into some matches with some gents.
But things completely changed in about 5 hours from then. Apparently, while i decided to just go play skirm and leave their chat, they had 87 mil donated to them from their channel. They never mention who it was, or why they were given that. Keep in mind all of this had to happen in around the 5 hours i wasn't in that chat, if it actually happened in that chat as they said it did. But after looking into it, i found that they are quite friendly with a corp we know very well... 187. Many different 187 members are found commenting on their "the cake is coming" thread post.

In many ways this is a way to secretly have an alliance while still somehow not formally being responsible for their actions. They gave them the money, told them what to do, and they acted. 187 is not acting as an indie corp, instead they are practically organizing an assault on an entire half of a 14 district planet, and that's not an overstatement. I'd think in many ways this violates what a lot of people consider to be an "indie corp". |

Actually... if one did one's research before or after an attack (like seriously)...
NEMW and SE7N are members of the same alliance.
The interesting question, has been that we've seemingly been classed as "indie", while being a decently-sized alliance. (A label we've clearly lost in the last few days, it seems.) However, a corp like 187. is being treated as "not-indie" even though it's no longer an alliance member.
So yeah, the indie/not-indie difference may be a bad label, it seems to be more "what certain players consider top-tier" and "what certain players don't consider top-tier".
Either way, tomorrow should be a boatload of fun. |

Never a bad thing to see '2112' floating around the battlegrounds, either.

You apparently dint face they're A-team i know most of they're A-team nd they all have more than 10m sp

We were cutting it a bit close with our timers, we had two matches 20 minutes apart. We barely made it into the match with 3 minutes to spare and loaded with only 9 players. Now THAT was a hectic match. |

I don't know what you're referring to, but we have multiple "CEOs," and I'm one of them. Being in the process of getting kicked out of PC for a second time, we realize our (Se\7eN's) initial thoughts were right: we don't belong. We'll keep our PFC district and have fun battles against good competition, but no more ventures into owning "real" districts.
We've learned a lot, and we'll keep showing up against 187 until our last clone. Imagine Wallace Hartley and his band playing music as the Titanic went down. |

I think PFC is honestly the best experience in DUST right now.
As far as 187. suggesting they won't fully kick us off the planet... Well, we were told such and such forces wouldn't be employed to attack us either, and look how that turned out. So, while, if true, I commend the restraint... I won't be counting on it.
Note: Commendation to 187. for fielding their own guys every fight. It's been fun, on the few I've gotten in on. |

Considering you attacked our last district, I think you might be mistaken. But we want the fights; keep them coming. PC is darwinism (Dust Darwinism) at its best. If you can't fight as well as the next merc, you will be removed.
Any way, I doubt you attacked our last district just to bring us cookies. I like cookies, though. |

You know, NAV, Se\7eN really does appreciate and like The Generals. Every single match has been fun and respectful, which is who we are. Heck, Se\7eN goes up against each other all the time in pub matches and tries as hard as possible to stab each other in the face. Very enjoyable.
Even though I think Se\7eN and The Generals could field an unbelievable team--and I want that to happen some day--we'll contnue to take 187 on with as many of us as possible.
We do need to squad up some time, though. Maybe we can combine forces on PFC and attack someone, just to see what we can do together. I think that would be fun.

Trade you cookies for the district?
Seriously though, we won't be reupping the attack on your last district. We had a great time vs you guys and have no intention of pushing you out of PC. I'd be glad to help you in any future battles you have not against 187 or friends. |

I would like to point out that Lokun Listamenn does not "Hire ringers" from the Alliance. We all made the decision that Planetary Conquest would be an Alliance ordeal. While only one of our corporations may be attacked, we all rise up to the attackers.
TCD Toxicated however has split from Lokun Listamenn fearing that we were starting a war against EON. Since they've left, they have opted to start a war with LOKUN, using Teamplayers to fill their own lacking ranks.
Word on the street is that TCD Toxicated is trying to train up to join EON. Should be interesting considering they're all former STB and Ill Omens. |

I'm honestly positive if I had changed my fitting by like one thing, you would've lost the match. (I'm sure there's about 100 other little things we could've done a little different to tip it in our favor, but I'm almost certain I could've singlehandedly tipped it in our favor if I didn't make a single mistake.
By all means, GG.

This is how it should be. An alliance united. I disagree with those who refer to bringing in alliance members as "ringing". |
