Dude 10 mil is nothing. I'm at 16.3 mil and i would love the ability to respec. So much wasted SP cause CCP changed things and now I have modules i can't use and equipment i no longer have the CPU to fit.
Not to mention i just wanna try new things... But grinding for new proto gear takes soooo looooong... Ugh. And proto gear is the only gear worth using. |

Dust is just not in a place where you can make informed decisions with your SP. it's unfortunate and frustrating but in its current state... People really need options to work around CCPs changes other than 'grind moar'. When you can't make informed decisions about the future specs of current drop suits and weaponry... What's the point of spending SP and playing the game?
If people truly think we should never have respecs. Then the wisest course of action is to afk farm and not play for the next 5-6 months... Is that a culture we really want to foster in this game? |

This has absolutely nothing to do with it. Fact of the matter is... what am I supposed to spend my SP on when its quite possible it wont even be the same suit/weapon in 4 months?
You can't reliably spend your SP on anything right now cause there is a solid chance it won't be what you purchased anyways.
This game is designed such that you cannot get every single skill present in the game.. ever... period. By the time you could get the stuff that is even currently in game, there will be twice as much **** out.. you need to spend your SP in such a way that you specialize in certain things. How do I choose what to specialize into when the stats are changing on items in every patch?
Balancing is necessary, and this game is in a really bad spot in terms of balancing.
I'm not requesting we add indefinite aurum respecs.. but while we're in this rebalancing phase we should definitely be given respecs after major changes... even if its just the SP in the items that changed.
So no... considering I can very reasonably assume that every single weapon, dropsuit, vehicle, playstyle, etc will change in the next 4 months. The best course of action is to farm SP and not spend any of it if we truly are not to receive any sort of respec.
Hopefully CCP will be more reasonable and logical about this than you are. |
