Im askin for any vet tanker who see's this post if possible can squad up sumtime with me..id like to see how im progressing in dust compared to some of the veterean tankers ive seen aroun..if you do happen to be reading this and happen to have free time id love to squad up |

only a few and strong are good tankers. and we can usually name eachother (theres only about 10, maybe less). i wouldn't advise anyone with less then 7mill sp UNALLOCATED to start tanking. even the best maddy or gunlogi can get killed by 1 guy. you need the tank of course, PG module skill maxed, EVERYTING even mentioning REDUCE, %, ARMOR/SHIELD, CPU, PG, RESISTENCE ect. MAXED. anything less, you'll be eaten up. you also need to have the biggest balls in town in certain situations AND know when to just say "ok its time to retreat or recall". you'll also need to think on your feet, "do i rush him? or cool my mods and catch him later? do i pull out my rail? maybe missiles? do i roll with my squad? or trust them enough to back off?"
its an art form.
so when you get hate mail (fan mail), you did your job.
people don't understand how hard, frustrating, expensive, dangerous, or crazy tanking is.
but if done right, its very rewarding. ever roll with a bunch of tanks on your side? the sound of the rusty ford engines going, rumble of missiles, chest thumping blaster turrets...ahhhhhh

I use mlt fit's
when im not using my adv swarm launcher `
works fine enough for me
in all honesty (with my none existent exp with tanks)
i would say focus on core skills like SGT said
get the skill that you use most up (armour / shield)
PG despite the major let down that its only for the modals should still be speced into so you can use the modal
All other relevant core skills
and then you have to learn the game from the eyes of a tanker ~
once again i have no exp
just agreeing with SGT words
its silly
i normally start each match calling in a MLT tank
and then backing off and recalling it after a couple of kills cuse av > tank ~
(simple as that)

Thanks for replying nd yea ive got all the necessary skills to about level3 or 4 on all of them and the art form wise i think i do a good job but id still like to roll around with some of the vets to make sure im doing thing right..nd again thanks for replying |

id say keep trying to max those skills out.
once you do maybe you'll have one of the rare RHINO FIGHTS (two maxed maddys punching eachother in the face till one falls) lol ah those are FU@#%NG awesome! or a TIGER FIGER (maxed gunlogi fight).
