Postpone the PLT until 1.4 or aiming gets fixed.
This the first official Dust 514 tournament out of release. Don't spoil it with sub-par aiming. I urge all CPM members to press this. |

Good luck with that, we all want them to wait until the aiming is fixed but they wont do it. they would rather have a ****** tourney now then wait the 1 month so they could have a decent one. |

We already did one delay I don't think the CPM can purchase another. Also there is the chances that 1.4's aiming fixes could turn the entire community up on its head again similar to 1.0 uprising did and may take more than a few weeks to adjust again. |

Are you saying that it will be worse, or just so different that everyones going to have an equal chance to re-learn, and therefore, everyone will be on a more fair ground, which will cause people to waste/lose protosuits they would have otherwise stomped in? |

PLT = Prime League Tournament
I understand the desire to postpone to 1.4. We specifically made a request to have a delay to allow for players to be able to adjust to 1.3 and potentially allow more time for sign ups, but I don't think we would be able to get an extension to 1.4. |

All I am trying to say here is that the core mechanics are too sub-par to allow reasonable quality tournament.
Tournaments can wait core mechanics can't. |

Like Ironwolf said. We can try, but we already got them to push it back somewhat and plan to announce signups much earlier, so that people involved would have time to book off work if needed. The original schedule was much more condensed, and most people wouldn't have had time to do so, which was a pretty big deal last time.
As you all know, when CCP sets their mind on it, it's pretty damn hard to get them to sway their course despite all the cries of "NO!".
I'm on the fence as a whole. I can see the obvious merits of delay, but just to play devil's advocate ; Isn't the tournament at it's core, basically just something to give people something to do and compete for? Sure, by all descriptions 1.4 probably will be better than what we have now in a lot of ways. But a tournament like this is kind of a kick to get people to stay excited about dust in the meantime, isn't it?
The prospect of prizes is always a good way to get people to care just a little bit more, even if the game isn't super great.
Now, if we were to delay, How long? When 1.4 drops, much like any other build with 'improvements' to core systems, it takes a while for people to get into the groove and 'learn the game' again. Some people adapt quickly, others more slowly. How long should they wait after 1.4 drops? Assuming that they keep up with the monthly releases, we'd then be waiting until september For the tournament. The prizes this go around aren't particularily awesome. Are they really worth waiting two months for?
If yes, compile a nice little writeup on why, make a forum post, and I'll make sure it lands in the lap of the people organizing it and they'll gauge support Though, I can't make any promises that it won't be too late. Their prior agreements with Urgentfury might overrule any petition to change. |

Wining PLT with current state of aiming proves the winner is a real pro and deserves the Main Prize - naming a planet!
From the dev blogs i understand the aiming will become child play and it will be almost like all you are required to do is press the trigger. Cos your gun will "self aim" and stick to the enemy... |
