Why do vehicles have unlimited ammunition? This is Dust 514... part of EVE. If my Assault Rifle has a limited number of bullets, and my Ship has to restock its ammunition, why does this tank/dropship/LAV have an unlimited supply?
I'm sure a significant portion of the driver/pilot community would absolutely hate it if they had to park near a supply depot in order to restock their ammo supply, but hey I run out of bullets all the time.
People who want more ammunition/less resupplies could fit a module to extend their Ammo Pool. A Nanohive module could be made for vehicles, functioning similarly to Remote Repair Modules (even though so many people hate the targeting system).
Infinite Ammo in THIS setting, is just dumb. EVE Pilots know this. Dust infantry knows this.
I don't care how much your vehicle costs to fit. This is "the thinking man's shooter" and a certain level of tactical realism is expected from it. Tanks with Large Missile Launchers cannot possibly house infinite missiles.
EDIT: Even a Nanohive Module that allows self targeting would be alright. At least the driver would have to sacrifice a slot in exchange for unlimited ammunition. Give the module a fair cooldown so you can't spam it to yourself and every other vehicle in range. |

I think this has been requested before but I agree. It doesn't really make sense for vehicles to not run out of ammo. |

A dropsuit should be limited on carrying capacity but a vehicle shouldn't be (in game at least). A small antimatter charge (small hybrid ammo in EVE) would be about the size a large railgun/blaster in Dust might use. A single antimatter charge is .002m^3, which means there are 500 charges in 1m^3. I believe the hull of a HAV has more than enough storage capacity to the point where making it limited on ammo in a single game is worthless. 500 shots for a railgun won't change anything. 500 for a blaster would be limiting, I agree on that. But limiting one but not the other isn't balance, and limiting both while disregarding storage capacity doesn't make sense either. |

You make a good point. I think small hybrid ammo is actually .005m^3, but I haven't played EVE in quite some time and it's not that relevant. I suppose I just dislike the concept of unlimited ammunition. It's definitely the least of my worries in game, I'd much rather see the rest of the dropsuits revealed/released alongside the rest of our vehicles. |

I'm a tanker and I would agree to this. It would be interesting to see red tankers with no ammo and pop them |

wait until we have everything fixed for vehicles 1st, Im talking about all vehicles that are meant to be in the game, im not entirely against this but at the moment this would make us useless because we have no way to survive in the middle of the battlefield if we don't have large blasters, like I said, save this suggestion until we have the vehicles completed. |
