1.4 might be CCP's last leg. The bell lap of the race.
I honestly HOPE there's new content in 1.4 and not just fixes. People are grateful for the minor fixes, but the lack of content and the lack of reason to play other than grinding SP is chasing people away.
Look I have all the stuff I need for my role and then some, so SP grinding means nothing anymore. I'm a competitive gamer and came here for PC and corp matches. Now PC is dead.
I have no new heavy suit to skill into, I have no new pistol I want to try. I have no new map to play on. I have no new game mode to tryout. I have no reason to play FW.
These are problems that existed for far too long.
Now this isn't just about a "doom and gloom" post. There were some decent points made by the CPM. I'm sure IWS will post all the Q&A.
But this quote is what grabbed my attention cuz if the CPM knows this, then CCP knows this. So I hope they realize adding new content will go a long way in keeping some players playing DUST. "PC is dead" because without an actual eve sov tie-in it is meaningless. Not defending CCP by any means, but try to see more than three inches in front of your collective faces. I don't see why there NEEDS to be any Eve tie-in.
The problems in PC aren't because everyone blue'd up. The problem is that there is no way for corps to train for it. Even trying to team deploy into FW you are likely to be paired up against a team of randoms leading to a redline within 3 minutes.
They need to bring back corp battle mode ASAP. PC is dead. I'm not sure what else they need to see there. They can drop the price of clone packs to 1 million each and it still won't allow most corps to "get good".
Corps need to be able to train tactics. Getting attacked by Team Players doesn't help anybody outside of a few corps.
While they are working on new content they could at least allow corps to play as a team against other corps' full teams.
This is so obvious. I'm beyond tired of redlining people in pub matches or getting redlined when the other 10 people on the team give up after 2 minutes. I can only imagine what it's like for the guys getting stomped on in those matches. Giving corps something to do will clear up a lot of the pubs.
Oh and they need to make the corp battles payout the same as a regular skirmish with isk, sp, and salvage. I'd cap my character this way without ever stepping foot in a pub match. |

Where are the Merc's / Pirates groups? Where have all the districts gone? PC is dead because people who decide to be under the same TIT wont man up and do their own things. This game is about being A MERC, not a damn corporation. I don't see why people blame Corps / Alliances, im not just saying this cause im in one but we played the game we were given, there are no merc options, oh we can transfer money to each other? Cool so i can pay people to take land for me, which alliances do they take land so why pay someone? People need to stop looking at the players/corps/alliances as ruining this game and more at CCP for lack of content, lack of merc options and most of all driving players away with a game still in beta. This is not the players fault. This honestly is both the players and CCP's fault. Keep staying under the same alliance only to find out that you will all get bored one day because you have no purpose to fight or anything for that matter to contend on. Think about it.
They'll have more isk than they could ever dream of by the time content is released. They earned it by kicking everyone's ass.
The biggest surprise of PC was how it tore so many corps apart.
It didn't happen to us but we have lost a ton of great players because of boredom and anger at lack of fixes.

Let 1.4/1.5 be fixes, after that add content. too late... GTA 5, then PS4 is out by then. I don't know how adding a map, a new gun, a new suit, is a major deal to add. They can fix a million things but won't add something new? lol? I don't think Dust will fully die by then.
I think people will come back to check out the new content, but it'll have to be mind blowingly awesome to get people to come back in big numbers.
I'll keep playing because I've got too much money invested to give up on it. It would feel like paying for a trip I didn't end up going on. |

If your not going to actually help shape the future of this game then step aside, I came to this game because I WANTED to enjoy the experience that CCP has created and I'm not about to have it wasted by some "hotshot" on the internet who thinks the direction of this game currently is alright. Again either help the smaller Corps out/ expand this game or just be stuck in the same bubble your in. Lance 2ballzStrong wrote:
what? No. If I'm bored, I'll leave.
I'm not here to hold hands and stuff like that. I don't mind helping people, but I won't help people that won't help themselves. How about try to attack someone?
You know what I personally did to a corp that attacked us that was a small corp? I gave each person on their team 5 million ISK, and told them "good effort. Talk to our CEO about getting a district"
You act like we're all bullies, and just stomp on new corps all the time. I don't even think we EVER attacked a small / new corp. There's no competition in that.
If you choose to hold people's hands and stuff like that, feel free. Personally I'm not. I'll help in my own way.
You think money is going to change anything? That's like throwing money at a poor person and saying to them "Invest that in the stock market, good luck." That's cruel.
What do you want him to do?
You sound like you are venting your disappointment with the game in the wrong direction.

Unfortunately CCP believes the game mode is unbalanced for some odd reason. I don't know CCP's logic however, since the Battlefield series had Rush mode and MAG had Sabotage and Domination, neither of which were imbalanced. This is another reason I fear that CCP has little idea how to design a FPS.
It was mentioned (I believe in the CPM section of the forums) that the code for Skirmish 1.0 was buried I assume with the Chromosome build.
I am 100% clueless in regards to programming so it's hard for me to understand how that's possible.
But that appears to be the issue with Skirmish 1.0
I think the unbalanced aspect of if sounds better than "we screwed up". |

It just wouldn't solve anything. The corps would just combine. I'm sure there are some CEOs out there that would happily give the job to someone else and just play the game. |
