This is a pretty straight forward fix. I suggest CCP make it so only team members can see the icons of nanohives, drop uplinks etc, just like it happens with remote explosives and proximty explosive where the enemy cannot see the little blue icon for the explosives. Also add a function on the active scanner that can detect these and then and only then should the location of the equipment be loaded unto the tacnet of other players so they can go ahead and destroy them (although if you have a visual on them it should load into the tacnet.) |

Without that part in "()" I would've said "go to hell".
But as is I have to completely agree with you. This would help scouts with DUs and everyone else with Nanos. This would also mean that you could scan an objective for REs before starting the hack (no more wasting grenades).

I would also like grenade marking being changed. To be less view obscuring. Now it feels like throwing "a cartoon icon" instead of deadly chunk of metal. Something more subtle and temporary. Like red circle blinking on oncoming grenade then gradually fading away. Maybe switch it off entirely for my own grenades? |

lol you made me think back to a, somewhat, funny moment.
Was getting chased by multiple people and I was using a customized mil AV loadouts with swarms, av nades, and a SMG. I knew I was gonna die so I turned the corner and through a AV nade at them. All 5 of them ran away and stood there, waiting for me to come back. When I did finally come back it was with backup and we mowed them down
If the icon wasn't so noticeable then I think they would've perused and killed me. Not really gonna deny you point though. |

I think we should make equipment passive scanning based. Each equipment could have different levels that they could be passively seen (much like our dropsuits). Nanohives should be fairly easy to see while uplinks are slightly more difficult. This might give a reason for scouts to actually be used as they have the highest passive scanning. LOS puts everything on tacnet, as you said.
But on the other side you'd really need to pull drop uplinks back a bit as they have a very high spawn count now. You can't make these to OP, we can barely contain the uplink spam as it is. |

  Plas One.
No Plas One for not being able to see friendly grenades. When/ If we get FF, and I throw a grenade at a cluster of my guys, and their guys, I could kill my bros cause they didn't see the grenade. |

+1 i agree, it sucks throwing down uplinks and such just to have the enemy head straight for it and destroy it without having to at least hunt for it. |

Definitely agree. It kind of defeats the purpose of being sneaky in any way as it currently stands. |
