Why would it have bots?

I went into the battle academy with a minmatar light suit and all militia items and went 43/9 with a shotgun and an SMG.

Pretty sure if you use anything besides the standard fits, and you actually know how to play this game, any weapon can feel super effective.

The second I started playing regular matches, I was faced against players that had so much more health than me I couldn't stand a chance. The problem with the laser's damage is that it takes half a clip to actually start doing damage to armor, yet the second you stop firing, the damage is gone.

If I were to have it my way, I'd make the laser do more damage the closer it is to overheating. That way, it becomes a skill weapon like the scrambler rifle, instead of just a "hope I can keep the beam on him long enough to actually be lethal" weapon.

You honestly think that everyone in the Academy sucks, except you ? That you can go 40-0 in the Academy, and then 8-8 in the Instant battles ?

Bots have been used in Gaming for AGES... and they are not hard to implement.

I meant that if your gun is hot, it should do more damage...so if you constantly keep it up at a high temperature, the gun should keep doing lots of damage.

Instead of having it instantly revert back to barely any damage once you let go of the trigger...

Someone, make an alt with the plasma canon and go 40-0 with it in the academy.

You do understand that most of the people in the battle academy are terrible because they are noobs. All players under 10,000 war points play there so all the newberries will be there and not know what to do. Also if they were bots, then their actions would look very un-human. For example if I were to see someone I would smoothly and naturally point my sights on the enemy and fire whilst doing so. An AI bot that is supposed to simulate a persons actions would have a more stiff look to it. instead of slowly aiming on someone it would swivel instantly to the target. A perfect example of where this plays out is the customizable bot on CoD private matches.

Also I wasn't bragging bout my score. And anyway I usually get at least 15 kills in instant battles

It is Elemental, My Dear Watson. Academy is always full with plenty of "new" people, yet the player base is "dropping" in weekly basics. Are you telling me that all that "new" people just "banish" after the Academy ?

The obvious is always obvious, even when is trying to don't be obvious.

Well, at least if they are that means they don't have to work too hard to figure out AI for PvE.

Oops. it's around 1.000 daily. Most of which try some random f2p title on their PS3, play a few matches and stop playing because they're not hooked. That's why they "banish" after leaving the academy: Most don't stay long enough to leave it. And that's how most if not all fp2 games behave.

Stop making **** up to support your preconceived notions and do some research for a change.

"Oh my god wake up people. CCP has secretely developed an A.I. that is so good barely anyone notices it. They use it to mask dust's bad NPE instead of improving it by adding PVE because they couldn't totally do just that instead."

I'll stick with bad NPE and natural player circulation as an explanation instead of a stupid and wastefull ploy with the sole intention of deceiving us.

Hey !! I didn't said that !! I know my grammar is not perfect... but that is a bit over the top for a "Correction".

Anyway... i doesn't needs to be a "sophisticated" AI for a PvP bot .. A stupid AI makes almost the perfect Bot... really.

I skilled 1 level into lasers. I for one went 20/3, nothing impressive against newbs but I at least made some newberries think the laser is OP and now they'll use it!

Also I realized that the only buff the laser needs are
1) the old iron sights were perfect
2) faster tracking speed while ADS (like before)
3) maybe 1 or 0.5 more points of damage per level

Trust me go make an alt go lvl 1 in lasers and see the sweet truth!

I forgot to say that the lazor is really fun.

4. Lower its minimum range. Getting a damage penalty inside ~60+ meters is ridiculous. That's not how lasers work.
