I'm useless once I left the academy. I don't have the skills to combat tanks, the high end grenades one shot me from 7.2 meters away (just being spammed in clusters), and I can't ever provide myself with nanohives. I left the academy with a 5 k/d but as sson as I was out, it almost like I'm worthless. Everyone weapon instant kills me whereas it takes at least a half a clip to kill them if not a full one. I'm running an assault and my suit has a total of 300 HP running the best defensive stuff I can get at my SP and thats half of what i'm seeing on enemy plays shields alone.
In theory this game is amazing, but it seems the developers took a page out of biowares failed plan for PvP in SWTOR and decided everyone from level 15-60 should bein in the same warzones. However at least in SWTOR you where "only" lacking abilities compared to your opponents as they boosted everyones stats, in Dust they don't even do that. They just pit fresh level 1 charecters up against level 60's and expect the game to thrive. |

Full Metal Kitten wrote:An experienced player can create a new character and finish number one on the leaderboard after the academy. Hell, I've done it and I'm not that good. Knowledge of the maps, and anticipating tactics can't be bought with AUR or training a skill. You just have to learn and adapt. The curve can be steep so keep at it. Squad up with experienced players and learn the ropes faster.
I still finish on the top quite often, the issue it the ridiculousness I have to pull off every fight. If i'm against people with 10mil + SP I feel I almost have no chance (I have less than a million), unless they are really really really bad at the game. Really it depends on the lobby I draw, if it's against people with lvl 5dropsuits, weapons, and modules then holy r@pe batman. Against teams with standard or advanced set-ups I usually am able to come out on top. |

learning my 266 Shield 120 armor assault suit (less HP than proto scout suits) is vertually worthless against proto players. Can't even approach them. Strong gusts of wind kill me, whereas it seems impossible to kill a proto wearer unless they are standing perfectly still allowing for iron sight head shots. |

A scout: low pg/cpu Less than 200 hp with out shield ext. or armor which use alot of cpu. Become as big as a heavy while running and are not as fast as should be. If we get looked at the wrong way were dead so...
Hope this made u apreciate youre 300 hp
This game just seems so poorly thought out it's pathetic. I decided to try it out cause it's free and supports kb/m and gave me an excuse to use the ps3 that was collecting dust. But seriously this grind is worse than Aeon's, and that is just to get to a point where my suit is only 20% worse than everyone else on the battlefield. I don't see how any FPS developer couldn't think it would be ok to put players with less than half the xp and experience together in a match.
Basically what's I've heard so far is in order for me to be competitive I have to spend the next 2-3 months playing in games where I either have to redline snipe or run people over in LAV's to do anything of note. Such poor game design boggles my mind, but what can you expect fom a free game. |
