I am one of those. A single gun, the forge gun, at just about any tier with damage mods will make the role near non-existent.
2. Shield Tanks. I am an armor tank, but I can understand their problem. I've seen some GREAT shield builds, however, the class as a whole is underpowered. Their reps should never beat armor reps of the same meta due to passive regen, but it should be closer per pulse so they could stand their ground more to AV.
3. AV weaponry. God forbid a tank actually be a presence on the battlefield. I can really only king kong public matches with my top tier tank build. What can I do in PC? Almost diddly considering most of the opposing team are carrying proto nades and will suppress the hell out of almost any role I can field. There needs to be fall of damage on the forge gun. There needs to be EITHER more resistances for armor and shields or a decrease in AV damage. It should NOT be the tanks and dropships cowering in the corner but the AV that needs to fear us.
4. LACK OF COMMUNICATION. This Vehicle developer is a joke! No posts from Blam in 2 months? No real development in fixing this horrible vehicle experience? It is depressing. I am not alone in feeling the developer apathy. It is as if they are keeping this game going just for the small bit of Aurum sales they can squeeze from this horrid experience. For example, what the heck is going on with our vehicle armor repairs?
There are so many more....
All we are asking is make this game FUN to be a vehicle.
We don't want god mode, but hell, I would like to be a role that isn't regularly sidelined when it comes to PC and other modes.
Jeez
It's funny, cause CCP claimed they would be yielding on new material in effort to improve "core" game mechanics (namely balancing). Problem is, they're putting quite a bit of time into structuring PC better - something that not many people care about. I know they want to try to balance everything at once, but I think when you find the perfect balance between infantry and vehicles (as well with other vehicles; per Dropship vs. Tank), the rest of the game falls together. What they need to do is just tell us all what they are planning to do and what is constraining them, and just have more regular Dev posts, and we could probably get this damn game fun again.
On that note, I wouldn't mind playing Chromosome again until we balance Uprising. |
