How about we all start leaving the war barge whenever the matchup looks like it will turn into a stomp (well-known proto-stomper squad on only one of the teams)? It might send a message. |

For example I have just recently found my hard (guaranteed) counter against LLAVs.
With all due respect, I think you may be in the wrong thread...?
Or are you telling me there is a hard counter against being red-lined by a proto squad? Please do tell. But then what am I supposed to do when I'm on the side which is doing the stomping? Sabotage my team?
Any way you look at it, it's not okay. |

CCP doesnt want to make a game to cater to the masses (people who are looking for fair play, and an easy to pick up shooter to have fun for an hour or two on the weekends). They cater to the hardcore, the grinders, because those are the people who are going to line their pockets the most. The min/maxers, the saboteurs, the players willing to do anything and everything to get ahead and improve their rankings, skill points, whatever.
Oddly, I kind of agree with that sentiment, and I wouldn't want it any other way in PC. But for instant battles? What is the point? What does either side get out of this? |

When peeps give up, it's game over. Stop crying about KDRs (you know who you are) and fight. How are you going to get better if you don't rise to the challenge?
I never quit while it happens, if anything I quit before it happens. It's just sad that 90% of the time the outcome of the game can be called in the war barge.
After going through a certain number of those, I just lost my interest that's all. I don't play the game for SP and I couldn't care less about my KDR. If the game isn't enjoyable, I'm not going to waste my time with it, it's as simple as that. Red-lining is neither enjoyable nor a challenge. |

This is essentially what we have in Dust currently That's a perfect way to put it. We choose our battles carefully in EVE, and if this is what it's like in Dust, I will also start being more selective about which battles I enter to begin with.
Don't tell me to fly into the bubble camp "for the challenge", that's silly... |
