Good morning community,
We have just about entered the final week of July. Thank you all for being here and sticking with it this far.
Uprising 1.3 is presumably scheduled to land before August. Presumably, because we aren't clearly told what to expect.
But even in an information vacuum word will spread. It's the accuracy and reliability of what is said that suffers when community leaders refuse to communicate.
That may be part of why the forums and player blogs, tweets and posts are so full of widely varying perspectives about Dust.
Have you seen today's article on Massively about DuSt514, CCP? Do you care?
Will the CPM deliver information to the playerbase regarding when 1.3 willdropand what we can expect there? I refer to the CPM because CCP has shown its strong aversion over the past year to delivering patch notes, devblogs or other clear information prior to content release.
CCP, you may not give a damn about rumors and public opinion and player concern when it comes to Dustand your fabled "road map". And you may find it convenient and beneficial to your strategy to limit the amount of timely info about what's coming and when.
But, if any of the din & cries from the online diaspora means anything to you, you may want to reconsider your tight lipped approach to transparency.
Respectfully, HS |

Steel dark and GTA, thanks for those links. Bendtner, thanks; that is exactly what I was thinking as well.
We have been round and round this communication problem with CCP. They have learned a lot and such is evident by how they communicate with and deliver info to the Eve playerbase. But the interaction with the dust community feels like the 'bad old' days' of a few years ago when CCP almost allowed Eve to spiral out of control.
Now we search about for scraps of data, info and feedback only to see signs that DUST direction and leadership is crumbling.
Does this sound like hype and hyperbole? I dont mean it to. I am simply alone in the dark with however many dust players remain...a darkness inspired by ccp's choice to restrict information and feedback.
What is the value of an NDA that stifles the growth of a game? CCP, are you seriously afraid that 'someone' is going to swipe your terrific secrets about dust and rush off to make a better game? Really?
If they could do that I would play it. While you might consider this justification to hold more tightly to the information your players crave, I consider this the very reason you should open up and win our heats and minds.
Help me feel committed, inspired and excited about Dust again? Tell me if there is anything worth waiting for.
Use words like: 30July2013 instead of soon. Use clear transparent data instead of carefully phrased and scrutinized adjectives to tease and taunt.
Try something different in your approach to your players. The road to innovation is littered with the relics of those who declared the good old ways were still the best. |

Things it brings:
*High possibilities -Calogi nerf [CONFIRMED] (followed by another nerf later) -Matchmaking -Pc improvements(lag) -M/kb nerf( if not now, then later) -Battleserver improvement Flaylock nerf -Various bugfixes
Medium possibilities -armor rep fix ( considered as a nerf, but hinted by CPM as a change for the better)
Low possibilities -Jetbikes ( Vehicle Revamp scheduled for 1.4 )
Thats all i remembered ill add more things if they pop up
Peace What do you mean, "that is all I remembered"? What is the source of this info?
CCP, CPM - this right here is my point! Why must your players post third and fourth hand info about your plans? Why must we feel the need to get on these forums and ***** and whine at you constantly about transparent feedback?
Why do you wait till the final moment to post crap about Dev blogs being typed as we speak?
Thanks Mortadela for giving us what you believe you know. Honestly if a blue poster said exactly the same I feel so jaded and frustrated with thier performance I might doubt it as well |
