But that's just me. You're an armor tanker, so that makes sense. Using high slots for ganking with damage mods is one of the very few advantages armor tanking suits have over shields since they're limited to buffer tanking at the cost of speed. Not even that. Any good armor tanker knows that having half your slots for reps and half for BASIC plates is the best. The speed hit isn't worth the extra HP. It doesn't even rise proportionally, complex plates are just below 2x from basic plates, while the penalty is 3.3x from basic plates. Shield extenders are 3x from the basic version and have no penalty >_>
I have a Gal logi with 881 eHP (238 shield, 643 armor) and I only take about a 2% hit to speed in this build (bet you'd like to know how I do that). I carry proto triage nanos so I dont worry to much about repairer. Can even run a proto AR, gauged nanos, proto needle and std repair tool, I love armor tanking. It's good if you know how to work it. |

Jeez, why did i spec into Gal Assault again?
doing the math on everything before you spec/choose your class helps a lot. |

I hybrid tank, and have over a thousand eHP, with a 3% movement penalty with 300+ armor and i only have lvl1 in armor soo.. You just dont know enough about your fits scrubs! Cool. Do tell how I can turn my Gallente Assault to over 1000 HP with only 3% movement penalty. I am dying to know.
I don't know about 1k eHP (I am not assault) but the fit I posted is quite real. It has to do with the way the stacking penalties for "speed penalty" work. It's not that hard to figure out (and I have already explained it enough times on this forum, not doing it again). Just play around with the plates, and watch your speed closely. |

It says a bug report has been filled. But I don't think that this is a bug. It's to deliberate, and it makes sence. It actually has nothing to do with the feroscale plates it works with any plate, and indeed was present before the plates came out. It has to do with the way stacking penalties work (and I can show you the math if you like). The bug report was probably filed by someone who monitors the tech forum and is not in the know. When it reaches the desk of someone who is in the know, the report will probably be discarded as "functioning as intended".
If this is a bug and it gets fixed, that would be unfortunate. It is the only thing making Gallente viable right now. |
