How do you pilots deal with installations? im running a python with 1 blaster and 2 rockets and installations keep effing up my ship. |

Destroy them first via AV/HAVs and stay on your half of the map until that happens if you can't, is my genuine, horrible advice. |

I have a python with the cycled missiles. Pretty easy to take them out if you take advantage of the fact that they cannot aim up very high. |

Mitilia suit with nanohives has enough swarms to take out 4 turrets and is cheap to fit.
Basic logi suit full of nanos for minmatar and gallente has enough swarms to take out 8 turrets.
So the method is to land in cover when you see a turrent menacing you, jump out, swarm it, and jump back in a fly away.
You dig?
P.S. Fit a tank on your suit so you don't get lolwtfsniped.

All you need is a redline railgun and it becomes impossible, often AV/HAV cannot or does not kill them anyway I run with FGs to kill the workst of the instilation s before spawning though but in some maps it is still impossible to fly. |

I wonder what Aero does about these ones. You know, that rail that is shooting at you while you hover over that blaster turret ever so intently. |

Get proto turrets with Level 5 turret ops for 10% more damage, it really doesn't take long to blow up the installations. Fire some shots as you approach it, then hover for a second and fire more, then use afterburners and get the hell out.
I'm not saying the assault dropship is anywhere near where it needs to be in terms of balance, but at the same time the installation turrets aren't that big of an issue, or even the HAVs. 9 out of 10 of my loses come from forge gunners. |

Off topic but I had to tell someone.
Once had an enemy Assault Dropship, a Python, I think, tailing a LAV I was gunning for. Seeing this guy constantly maybe 50m away as he chased us through the base on Spine Crescent just reminded me so much of the T-Rex chase scene in Jurassic Park.
Had me practically giggling, it was so fun. |
