700k isn't a lot personally I'd save it, I got 1m and I'm saving it but thats just me

We need more optimism. You know as well as I do that balancing is difficult especially with lower numbers. The suits are not useless and will be continuously tweaked. Don't get all down and out because it will get better with time. All of our expansions have made the game better and will probably continue to do so. Take a break and do something else for a while. It DOES help, some. Patients is a virtue and will be rewarded in the long run.

Meaningful investment of SP is an illusion, unless you can predict the future. Its unfortunate... you have to make choices and live with the consequences of CCPs nerf hammer. Best thing you can do is spec into whatever suits you and hope to god somewhere down the line CCP has enough foresight to offer reallocations in future updates.

Flux grenades require grenade skill 1 sorry you're unwilling to create a dropsuit with flux grenades for when you see cal logis on the other team. I currently run the adv version with 486 shields and I destroy people in protosuits including other cal logis because of my individual skill. After the nerf when I get proto I will get 588 shields and the regulators I use will be even better. I actually like the nerf because when I continue to destroy scrubs they can't blame the suit.

Your performance has little to do with your suit. I find that I die an equal number of times in a proto suit to a militia suit. It is simply ALL about your skills and placement... and about 5-10% related to your equipment...
