Greetings, spacefriends~
On this coming Tuesday (the 24th) at 18:00 UTC (The time on the bottom left in your Neocom) I'll be hosting an Ask-Me-Anything event for a couple hours. During this time, Eve Online and Dust514 players can join the channel "CPM-AMA" and post questions and topics of any nature, and I'll do my best to cover as much as I can, within the bounds of our dreaded NDA and the limits of good taste!
This event is so far just myself, though other CPM members may grace us with their presence if their own schedules permit it! Though, this could be the first of what I hope will become a generalized way for the community to keep in touch with the CPM as a whole on a semi-regular basis, on a more personal scale.
See you guys then! |

Well, poop.
Just had some family stuff get rescheduled to tomorrow, so I'm going to need to push this to the Wednesday, as I won't be home due to being drunk elsewhere at a barbeque! Same time, Wednesday the 24th! |

We really don't. Threats to boycott/mass quit generally don't do anything. A mass 'protest' isn't really possible within the limits of dust gameplay, either. Besides, it's too easy (and common) for incarna to be brought up regarding any negative criticism to CCP. Like with any sharp object.. the more you use it, it becomes dull and ineffective.
I honestly doubt the word 'incarna' makes CCP flinch nearly as much as the players who try to turn it into a spearhead for their 'cause' would like them to anymore. They've heard it so many times now that I'd be desensitized to it too.
While 'mass quits' generally negatively effect any game... If anyone honestly doesn't enjoy dust.. Threatening to leave is basically just a childish justification to themselves to stop playing, in most cases. People who quit without saying anything generally make more of an impact, because these are the people who probably aren't going to come back unless word of mouth spreads to them that things are a lot better (Which has been a norm for Eve throughout the years)
There's much better and more effective ways to get CCP's attention than by stomping our feet as a community and threatening to take our ball home :P |
