Where can you find all these hidden weapon atributes? I mean theres a lot of things that should be shown in the game, effective range for example, and even a dps figure for your equiped weapons would help, to actually see how much help were getting from our proficiencies and damage mods, rather than guestimating how the percentages and stacking penaties work it actually does show it look at the heat build up for each weapon
Where does it show "the upgraded versions have higher damage increase over time"?
I would love to know, so that I can update the laser rifle wiki entry. So far we try to put only info there that can be confirmed. I've heard people say the damage buildup differs, but what's the source for that claim? |

Aero Yassavi wrote: There is no cap, as long as you are continuously holding down the trigger the beam will get stronger and stronger until it overheats or you let go. Also the damage output is not related to the heat of the gun, it's only related to how long you hold the trigger. This means if you fire the laser rifle until it nearly over heats, then start burst firing at near the maximum heat build up, your spurts would do no more damage than if you were to burst fire with no heat build up.
With the very powerful viziam in the last build, I liked to build it up on a wall directly in front of me, then move sideways so that it's suddenly hitting someone with high damage, giving them almost no time to seek cover before they'd melt. Is that still possible this build, if you have the viziam and appropriate skills?
I suppose Amarr assault suit is desirable. |

I hate to be redundant but the iron sights it has kills it for me; combined with me playing the game on a 30" crt tv that makes the ps3 only display in 480p. It makes it kind of hard to see what I'm shooting at.
I had been wondering why people don't like the iron sights. Didn't seem too bad to me. The glare when shooting laser, on the other hand, was a little distracting. |

But what is the point of upgrading it? Looking at the stats they all appear to have the same damage, so is it more potential damage from the heat build up? They are amazing guns! And not jokes the Viziam is a huge step up from the ELM-7
How essential is the amarr assault for it? With upcoming logi changes, I'm tempted to leave vehicles for a bit and spec into Amarr logi (as a PIE member, I'm sure you can understand my preference for Amarrian technology). I am not sure if the heat buildup on a suit with no heat bonuses will be too high to make it worth it. Compared with other guns such as a scrambler rifle, or a TAR. |

Nothing sucks more than getting the hit markers and thinking you are doing damage, then overheating only to realize you didn't even scratch the shields. If it is going to be that ineffective past the effective range why even have it?
So that you can ping a tank or vehicle that's about to explode, for bonus WP, or to get an assist on someone else's kill for +25 WP :) |

The lack of Amarr vehicles was nearly enough to stop me speccing into vehicles. But then I decided that, like EVE, I'd probably end up skilling into multiple races anyway. Just wish I hadn't put logi LAV up to 5. Great car, but I don't really want to use it. |
