I don't see many of these on the field, and they arnt talked about much, but i've being using the basic one with 2 complex damage mods and I've being having a lot of fun with it. But what is the point of upgrading it? Looking at the stats they all appear to have the same damage, so is it more potential damage from the heat build up? |

I wish i had the sp to spec into ammar assault suit, but my logi duties take up most of my sp. I just wish there as a close range version with a thicker beam, is this the only weapon class without variations? |

Where can you find all these hidden weapon atributes? I mean theres a lot of things that should be shown in the game, effective range for example, and even a dps figure for your equiped weapons would help, to actually see how much help were getting from our proficiencies and damage mods, rather than guestimating how the percentages and stacking penaties work |

Ah thanks, I though that was for the weapon overheating, not the damage |

Laser fun? yes
laser good? no It does not need a buff, this coming from a guy who uses them regularly. It is effective at doing it's job, if you can't do good with it don't necessarily blame the gun . . .
Ive not had enough time to work it out, but does the damage increase go upto a cap, like after 2 seconds continuous fire its at max damage, or as the heat of the gun increases the damage does? |

There is no cap, as long as you are continuously holding down the trigger the beam will get stronger and stronger until it overheats or you let go. Also the damage output is not related to the heat of the gun, it's only related to how long you hold the trigger. This means if you fire the laser rifle until it nearly over heats, then start burst firing at near the maximum heat build up, your spurts would do no more damage than if you were to burst fire with no heat build up.
Now I really want to spec into an amarr assault.... Damn the sp grind and my inability to stick to one path :P

So even upgrading to the advanced version i should see a noticeable difference? Also does the lazer rifle have to be run with complex damage mods, or is this just due to its greater engagement range and less need for tank? I mean damage mods are nice, and i do use them, but the idea that you need them for the weapon to be effective is quite a big flaw |
