Please, let me stop laughing before I read the rest of this thread.
Oh and dear lord IWS comes to try and brainwash the masses that somehow CCP has actually made good progress over the past 15 months. The lulz continue |

The CPM are servants to the community not the other way around. If anything, once voting comes around it's us who can be fired by the community. |

I mean do you know when the bug is going to fix? do you know what else is getting fixed then? there have been hints sprinkled here and there a few players already caught it wind of it. Its kind of hard for us all not to when we literally get no information from CCP. You can't just post "this was not intended and will be fixed" and not expect every tanker to be in an uproar. Literally, if all he said was "this is a bug and will be fixed in 1.4" then hey okay thats cool we already know a bunch of changes are coming in 1.4. But he just says "in a future update". Remember IWS, we're not all privvy to the same things you are. So you can't sit there and expect them not to be worried, us mortals get nothing but scraps from CCP most of the time. I know just addressing people like Noc has never resulted in anything positive and hasn't been so for the last year despite being proven wrong dozens of times. There is a meeting with the game designers and the CPM soon and we're going to get into the nitty gritty of what is being worked on while I only have small idea what can potentially be in 1.4 there is nothing solid and nothing is code locked so this is opportunity to get things adjusted before they're final.
Why is CCP using the CPM as a filter on this anyway, didnt we say this is the worst thing that can happen. But noooo CPM knows about the game, They spend hours upon hours gathering feedback from the community and bringing it to CCP for their consideration. Nevermind in a game of telephone stuff gets lost in translation.
Lets look at what direct communication gets us... a revamped PC that incorporated a lot of direct feedback given to True Grit from the community and at the urging of CPM.
Lets look at what indirect communication gets us...... A broken ass game that is horrific in every category.
PC is not perfect yet but its getting there, problem it wont matter how good the mode is because its founded on a very bad game. Fact is all the other Devs now use CPM as a filter and dont even attempt to come into the forums. Of course they are naturally avoidant of the hostility but they have zero interpersonal skills and have no idea how to create a dialogue so many have left good and constructive feedback threads and even then they cant get a DISCUSSION going with them.
This is why CCP fails they simply dont know how to foster a good player-developer interaction, True Grit as always the obvious exception. |

Take a look at the "Dev Posts' section sometime.
Its pretty much Nullarbor, FoxFour, and a post or two from Mintchip and Logibro.
Its kind of sad really. People wonder why we're all so frustrated by the lack of communication. |

So there is going to be a meeting where a bunch of non vehicle users are going to give advice to devs who have already proven balance is beyond them. This will turn out great.
No discussions with the vehicle users, and you want people to have faith?
What has CCP implemented without feedback that has gone over well? Only one that wasn't a complete flop was the scrambler rifle.
The CPM gets more than enough combined complaints about vehicles to have a pretty good picture that if something were to get added we can have a gist of the response is going to be. So far the 'consensus' of feeling has been spot on so far including on things CCP doesn't do.
For example we been pestering the team involved in poking that bug that has gotten everyone upset, conveyed what the bug is doing for some players and what it isn't doing, and the best way to approach it's fixing which after a short talk the bug is the sort that does need squashing because it may be screwing up not just armor modules but possibly other... hold on a minute going to check afterburners. |

So far the 'consensus' of feeling has been spot on so far including on things CCP doesn't do. CCP has very capable individuals about to design and rethink things over and well as their own ideas of balance to which goes beyond the simple information that we as players have access too. The best the CPM can really give is basically a sounding board that they are at least listening to the complaints and doing the footwork on reading for possible solutions and coming to an reasonable adjustment or tell CCP that they're crazy and if they go through with a certain change you guys are going to explode a bit. However this in itself is a work in progress in trying to get more teams to communicate more to you and to the CPM. For example we (the CPM) been pestering the team involved in poking that bug that has gotten everyone upset, conveyed what the bug is doing for some players and what it isn't doing, and the best way to approach it's fixing. Which after a short talk the bug is the sort that does need squashing because its not the simple typo type of mistake and may be screwing up not just armor modules but possibly other areas as well. For now the CPM is urging to not deploy the fix unless without an accompanying balance pass unless it was absolutely necessary, which we won't know about until the bug's investigation is complete.

Game is free, you buy packs, so it's not free, nor a service. It's more like a contract :) I've been playing this game for free except for the one $20 pack I bought (Which I still have 12k Aur left).
Would you like a cookie?

"About to design" is an interesting choice of words, but beyond that, their capability can be directly called into question given the current state of vehicles. Unless there has been a wholesale turnover in staff, or at the least leadership since Uprising deployed, then depending on the same people to produce dramatically better results isn't the safest bet. Given your following arguments about the bug, it seems impossible that any capable team wouldn't have picked up the fact that one entire set of modules was working at 3x the advertised(planned) rate.

Good luck with that.

You could actually expand this sentence into a whole post and lack for space, but I'll settle for a full sentence on the best way to approach it's fixing.
