Thanks for putting this together, I'm hoping to make a fairly detailed thread on the uselessness of Logi Dropships, particularly in comparison to Assault Dropships, whenever it's up I'll post it here as well. |

Remember when assault dropship usefulness was not as great as it should be, so they slowed and wrecked the handling of all others to make the slight boost in assault speed seem relatively huge? Yeah... Don't let them nerf assault to make Logi "more useful" lol That happened all at once, when the Assault was initially released.
As is, the Logi ship is vastly inferior to the assault in basically every way that matters. |

Since you are slow and lack the slots to fit a reasonable tank, you can't hover to do things like rep shields / armor or provide cover fire, since you have to constantly be moving at all times in an attempt to shake railgun / forge fire, which doesn't work against halfway descent opponents because your movements are fairly predictable.
The MCRU will often hurt more than help in anything other than full on corp matches because blueberries will be blueberries. Your handling is vastly inferior to the ADS which leaves you significantly more vulnerable to any follow up shots made on you, since you have to fight the controls that much longer to recover and attempt to maneuver.
Lastly, you're bright yellow, and that just screams kick me. |
