1. Make tanks and dropships harder to kill but harder to skill in to with a bonus to pilots wp 2. Remove av grenades and replace them with magnetic av remote explosive so there is no av nade spam 3. Fix the armour resistance to explosive its a bit unbalanced to shields 4. Make the pilot dropsuit only for dropship pilots 5. Add in the counter mesures like ir smoke for tanks and flares for dropships 6. Stop giving the infantry a way to solo any vehicle on the field it should take teamwork 7. Fix the remote repair range so dropships can support tanks without getting so close 8. Mix up the weapons on the battlefield .. Everybody is using the same stuff ok we are clones bit this a joke 9. Stop nerfing weapons that are performing fine just because people cant kill the player that is fully skilled into it a proto heavy should be able to fight off a squad of militia assault and a proto dropship should beable to do its job 10. Dont let the game become stagnant keep fixing keep adding and put armour above infantry a tank should be able to sipport a area also fix up the assauls drop ship so it can counter tanks more effectively

AV obliterates Tanks, 1 guys with proto av nades and a MLT swarm launcher with 1 complex dmg mod can destroy a Madrugar by himself change av nades for flux and a Gunlogi is dead |

Lol na i cant stand cod the community here is much better it was just my ideas for points i see could use work .. And if you say vehicles are useful try them in pc .. There not very effective at all maybe a standard limit for pub matches so proto stomps are saved for pc only .. I am not sure but something feels off with the game . Plus theres more then one point . One of witch i said the game could use more diverse players so there are not so many (fit of the month) . Where did laser rifles go they were nerfed in to the ground and not rebalenced to fit same as dropships got nerfed to an almost unuseable state and the forge or flaylock will also br nefed to oblivion instead of beeing rebalenced to fit . I was just testing you guys to see what you think i am trying to think up ideas to make the game better some bad ideas will be thought up but i bet there some diamond ideas people wont ever voice because of unconstructive and childish comebacks .. Constructive criticism is welcome I wanted to hear your ideas |

There are different types of tanker though and not all are hard to kill. The role of a tank is to role through to take out artillery (in this case rail, blaster and missile installations) as well as valuable assets such as CRUs and supply depots. Having every Tom **** and Harry on the opposite team able to switch to AV negates this role. The blaster tanks are anti personnel vehicles (APV) and in my little world should be a class of their own. Let tanks fight tanks and take smaller damage from AV, and make APVs which fulfill the role of squad support.
Tanks that go into the centre of battle take big risks knowing there's av around so converting them to APVs and reducing cost might be something to think about. Full on rail gun tanks are currently only any use as snipers as the turret tracks too slowly and the shots are too slow firing to be able to protect itself in CDC. If tanks were split into two groups then the rail gun tanks should be harder to take down but should also have a reduction in turret speed and no secondary or tertiary guns.
I've soloed big names in the tanking community using standard equipment. It shouldn't be that easy!
I don't want tanks to be "I win" buttons but they need an overhaul and done properly they would have their place on the field again.

I think they is something "wrong" with tanks and certainly derpships... if making them harder to kill is the answer, I'm not so sure... It's fair to say, that I kill many tanks using standard AV nades, other than super tanked Gunlogis. Even the advanced tanks are killable if the driver is a moron with just a couple of guys.
However... I'm also minded to think, that a tank supported by a good ground team and used tactically both adds something great options and becomes very hard to kill. Both in PC and Pub matches.
Using them in pub matches with no support, just a driver and no gunners and expecting them to be hard to kill is perhaps a little foolish (no offensive meant).
As for Dropships, the biggest threat is swarms, a good pilot will avoid being killed by forge guns just though good flying, swarms are hard to "out fly". Also, if you look at the Eve missile mechanics, even locked on missiles don't hit for full damage every single time, as they do in Dust. Surely, in a far future universe, tech designers would have made some kinda of counter measure.... like we have today.
(i do think that is a kinda lame that a proto forge can, if skilled and/or lucky can one shot even a fairly heavily tanked drop ship)

First of all +1 for a constructive post and i am just relaying info i hear of some tankers i know i am a logi dropshop pilot (been fliying from the start) and with 2 active harderners an proto assault forge can take you out in less than a clip as soon you slow down to make a drop And a very true point about team support for tanks its a two way relationship and if they fixed dropship reppers range they would be a lot more valuble for support
I think countermesures would help dropships alot even an alarm if a forge charges in your area or if you are locked on too by swarms .. Maybe it wil all balance out soon just see a lot of players come and leave and people shouting adapt or die dont help the game improve at all |

Was thinking about the Alarm thing too... prox explosives give you and alarm... though the timing involved makes the alarm worthless.
I'm not suggesting that derp ships and tanks should be unkillable. But currently, they are really just very expensive toys. CCP often drill on about risk vs reward. But tell me, where is the reward in flying a derp ship that can run to 1 mill isk a pop (proto fit an assult or logi derpship and see for yourselves)... and in truth even with a skilled pilot, they are as easily killable as a proto suit.. in the case of an Assult DS... they are easier to kill. Risk high, reward no better than a suit and in the case of logi DS's it's zero, other than the "fun" of flying one.
With regards range of remote reps... have you ever seen anyone using them? My guess is you haven't... they answer? well, that is two fold... firstly, they don't work on infantry and you have to be sat onto of your target to work... so heres the maths..
Fit a logi drop ship, firstly the module takes up a low slot, further gimping your defence and then anything able to hit your target can hit you, do to the closeness you need for the rep to work.. you can also, NOT run your own repper while repping your target. meaning, whilst your defending your target your VERY open to attack. The UI does not allow a quick switch between the two reps, (remote and local). and here the fun part... The logi drop ship costs about the same as a tank and has 50% the defence...
This is why no one uses them...
For any of your eve pilots... just look at how hard it is to kill a logistic ship.
The daft thing is, CCP want a game that rewards team play and yet give us toys that preclude it... almost totally. |
