I loved the good old MD...
-People want it nerfed.
-It gets nerfed.
-MD is derided by the entire community along with Derpships and laser rifles.
-We find out that hit detection is the first cause of its awful performances as hit detection improves.
-MD is now working, but it has nothing to do with the old, mighty MD.
-Suddenly people want it nerfed again.
-[insert conclusion here]
Suggestions for possible conclusions:
-It gets nerfed and I waste 1.500.000 SP
-CCP has realized that people will always complain about something and they also have learned from their previous errors, so they just decide to leave MD alone... no, it doesn't sound realistic, forget it. |

If you're going to spec into anything, you have to commit to it like a marriage. If you love the mechanics of the weapon and are willing to stick with it through good times and bad, go for it. If you only love it because it dominates at the moment, hold off.
So true.
But sometimes things get nerfed so much and you really need to try different loadouts because the game gets simply frustrating.
For example, I quit MD and fell in love with the Assault Scrambler... but now that MD is fun I'm so tempted... I'm already specialized into ScAR, I would spec into MD just for the sake of using it again... |

MD Splash damage is humble.
Flaylock's splash damage is INSANE. That does need some rebalance. |
