The WP required to exit the academy should be at least 50k. On my Assault alt, I played a total of 9, you read that right, 9 games before advancing out. I only gained 50k or so SP during my time there: hardly enough to be competitive for the main game.
New players should be given more time to grasp the basics of gameplay before being able to move on. As is, vets are squadding up and stomping all the newcomers (I admit to stomping, but I did mine solo), thus leaving new players very little to learn other than being beat down every game.
Honestly, 10k WP is easy to attain. With the majority of matches in the academy being skirmish, objectives and installations are free easy points for anyone. If the requirement was 50k WP, I'm sure newberries would feel more adjusted to the transition to the main game whilst having a better fighting chance.
tl;dr
Change academy WP requirement to 50k. |

When I played in the academy on an alt, I seemed to average a KDR of 9 to 16. This should have instantly made me graduate IMO, since it's pretty obvious I know what I'm doing.
This keeps old players out of the academy, unless they're willing to purposefully flunk by dieing a bunch.
The graduation should require a minimum of 10 games too, to make fluke KDR streaks less of a factor; after 10 games, if you break into the top 20% of academy mercs in terms of KDR, you graduate. Your KDR upon graduation gets factored into the calculation for what constitutes the top 20%.
What happens when a player does not make it into the top percentile? Would he or she need to play another ten games to be given a chance to graduate again. What if by that time said player actually has a worse KDR? Would he or she be stuck in an infinite loop of academy matches? |

If going by WP and the rate at which I gained SP in the academy, 10k WP should equate to roughly 50-100k SP. This should leave players to gain around a maximum of 1 mil Active SP in the academy whilst working towards the 50k WP goal.
I feel that the amount of SP is decent enough for new payers to hold their own in the main game whilst not having too much of advantage over the other players in the academy. |

What about:
Academy Mode - 50k WP to advance (players will have 1.5 mil SP)
Mercenary Mode - 100k WP to advance (players will have about 2.5 to 3 mil SP)
Veteran Mode - 200k WP to advance (players will have about 5 to 5.5 mil SP)
Elite Mode - All players above 200k WP
*How does this sound?*
The same game modes will be kept i.e., skirmish, ambush, domination, etc., but this idea should help with match making.
