They do seem to be taking the time to get the most drama out of each hammer blow. This announcement was sort of inevitable, and it's hard to imagine that they would have hesitated to arrest him before if they'd had a chance. Still, I really have trouble objecting if it's the Templis Dragonaurs getting pummeled. |

Um. Respectfully, templar, it appears more accurate to say that for you, nothing has changed: you follow the Empress's wishes, yes?
Things have likely changed with respect to her and, thus, the Empire's relations with the State, however-- for one thing, there is no longer any single ruler here. Your role may remain as it was, but that does not mean that changes that most directly affect your ally do not affect you. |

Um. I'm sorry, soldier, but where in all the worlds are you getting this?
Neither clone soldiers nor capsuleers can be prosecuted by any outside entity, in any empire, for breaches of trust committed against their employers. We're functionally sovereign entities unto ourselves.
Baseliners, however, are subject to the usual laws, and you'd best believe that the Caldari megacorporations do not like to be stolen from by their theoretically loyal employees. Hardly any corporation does. Kaalakiota is certainly no exception. |

Thank you for your concern, soldier, but the Caldari didn't build an interstellar empire on corruption and graft. The State leadership is well-rewarded, but not quite so well that it constitutes theft.
There was a time when the Caldari people decided they were being taken advantage of, and it wasn't so very many years ago. It occasioned the rise of Tibus Heth, who, among his various other deeds for good or ill, reformed the corporate meritocracy.
The State was never a proper kleptocracy, soldier, and is less so now than it was before. It seems simple-minded MTAC pilots with a broad idealistic streaks to go with their deep reserves of hate can stumble into some good administrative decisions alongside all the trouble they cause. |
