ive been askn for this for over a year but her it is again....
we want BIGGER player counts in games
we have big maps, we need big player counts per match
when i started playn this game the matches were 8v8, then got bumped up to 12v12. then we got 16v16, its not enouf CCP!
i play Dust 514 to be in action packed WARFARE.
not to play a shooter with a hand full of my corp, hell my corp has enouf ppl on to fill 3-4 matches of 16v16 from time to time.
im tired of playing a game that states u can fight your own WAR, when to me it just feels like skirmish-skuffel-brawl-backyard fight.
ill be putting this game down for bit till sum kind of player count increase is put into place, if i want to shoot ppl with this kind of player count i can go play Cod or Bf3.
its not the the fittings or the syfy that does it for me, its the chaos of battle and feeling like im in a massive fight.
ill be going back to the game where ive had the most fun ever in a video game (MAG). now seems as good a time as any since the servers are going down in a few months.
by that time i hope the improvements made to Dust 514 will be enouf to hold my attention for 4-5 years like (MAG) has done so well, till next time..... |

32 vs 32 in MAG gave no one any problems, never froze, never really that laggy and was so much fun to play that I still play it till this day.
Dust is poorly made. The only way they could make the game better is by starting again and brining in better developers. Too many flawed mechanics which isn't appealing to me. I'm surprised people still play it. |

Cody here is the fix they need.
Districts of varying size supporting different player counts.
Smaller research labs that are a 16 vs 16... maybe even a few that are just a compound with no vehicle support for 12 vs12 or 8 vs 8.
Then for the upscale... much larger communication and cargo hub maps that support 24 vs 24... 32 vs 32 and yes... even 64 vs 64.
Now I know that these maps are made as large as they are for two reasons: 1. CCP fully intended on larger teams. 2. Vehicle support allowing for more vehicle types.
If it were not for the DROP UPLINK... the forums would be ablaze with complaints about running too far.
However, they already have experience in trying to randomize small map spawn points as we see in the ambush mode. I am sure that CCP has played hell trying to figure that out.
Unleash the beast, grant us the large scale battles we were promised and watch the player base grow.
Scale the maps 8 vs 8, 16 vs 16, 32 vs 32 and 64 vs 64
That will also allow for MORE GAME MODES

As if they are reading any of this. It feels they have given up on this game and they keep up the facade for Aurum purchases and thats it. |

Except for 8v8.
16 should be the lowest any one side should have.
64v64 would my favorite matches. Full district coverage( next game, zoom all the way out on the overview map)... Then so long as DSs get WPs for spawning and repping, they will actually be a useful commodities for fast attack teams. |

i never liked the massive mag battles...
plus those maps felt rather empty too....
its about the same as dust only dust feels like theres more going on...
and the ppart with the lav in the first vid...
like i will always say they r easy to avoid.... |

Larger battles would make this game so much better. I remember being in PShome with commander wang and having a little meeting way back in closed beta. When he found out I was helping to run KEQ he asked me "why are the MAG guys not all coming over to Dust514?" I told him it was mostly the size of the battles and not having the ability to play with more than 3 of your friends. (At the time it was 4 man groups)
CCP wanted the MAG feel to attract the MAG playerbase. Hell, they made MAG tribute dropsuits to try and entice the MAGgots to come over.
They fell short on capturing the large scale feel though. I'm sure they would still like to increase the numbers but there are so many other core gameplay and balance fixes they need to do that I don't think they've had the time to work on it as much as they would have liked to by now.

Increase in player sizes for matches as well as a more open queue system such as a Corp/Alliance queue would be lovely. If that cannot be done in a timely fashion then may I suggest releasing that coveted Rouge Drone mode. Dust 514 needs these things fast. I understand much focus is on fixing server/client side issues but there also needs to be a focus on some more core mechanics. |

I dont even think they need to scale maps, maybe for that more intimate close quarters feel added on to the mode, but more of a player interaction with the terrain, buildings, infrastructure, ect. we need hurdles to our objective, one should not be able to run straight from point A to point B and the only object in his way to achieving that task is pipes on the ground, a hill, or some stairs.
give bases and defense points a hurdle and some good choke points that need a tactical push to overcome, gate to block out infantry and vehicles, power supply terminals damaged that turn off turrets and automated defenses of a base.
bring in a dynamic element to the battlefield that blocks accessible parts of the map to A: defending team or B: attacking team or both from objectives that would divert the flow of war. bring more of a game changer element to the battlefield then just shoot the badguys, cap and hold the objective, rinse and repeat.
define class roles without defining the classes: Logi's have a repair tool which is 95% used on ppl and 4% on tanks you hardly see a person rep a CRU or supply unit. bring more usefulness out of the tools of war then their usual functions.
the game needs DEPTH to the modes you have provided us, keep the simple as an option for the ppl on the go and also elaborate on the modes we currently have with a bigger, longer, more complexed beast that makes us feel like CCP opened Pandora's Box.

just a separate thing i forgot, we have some of the best gaming comms on a console ive ever used, how bout using the ability to talk to ppl who are in battles and the ability to join that specific battle if they are struggling and need support. that would be lovely. |

MAG was definitely fun, but it kinda sucks now
No-one plays anymore.
The only battles you get now are that SVER win accustration, The now boring sabotage, and that awful TDM they have.
