There is already plenty who think the nerf was not enough, so they will keep harping on it until we are running around with sticks and stones.
Their shoddy playing knows no bounds. Only way they will accept it is if we get killed with one bullet from any weapon at any distance. Then if we kill them, they will just QQ about the weapon and get that nerfed

That's easy: You're too foolish to start speccing into a proper assault suit because you think the current change is the only thing headed for the Logi suits.
Naturally, our joy over your whinging is only exacerbated by the respec request volume. You had a respec and still chose the logi for assault use. You made the bed, you lie in it.
This is one thing that just doen't take any statistical analysis in Dust. You want to be a frontline attacker? That's called assault. You want to be "in the rear with the gear", keeping your squad in tact? You chose correctly with a logi. Amazing that the same people who figured out that you can tank this suit almost as much as a deployed heavy can't figure out what the word "Logistics" means.
Of course, I might be assigning too much credit because it's probably a handful of people who figured it out and the rest of you are just along for the lemming cattle drive. Watch out for that cliff!!!
You can spot the real logis around here, btw. There the people excited at the prospect of trading OP tanking on a medium suit for equipment bonuses. |

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me, it was about stopping CCP from listening to all the crazy "solutions" to logi suits like limiting them to sidearms. Thanks to all this drama, I regularly got hatemail for running around in a "n00b" suit. I didn't know my hacking bonus could kill... |

Ding ding ding! Finally a player who knows how to play this game.
Seriously, all those whining and moaning about calogis must have no idea there is a nade that is designed for killing shields extremely effectively. Leaving us 99% exposed like sitting ducks with our ~90 armor. Breath on us and we die at that point.
Sure calogi can armor tank to some degree (really wouldn't call it "tanking") but we are already movement gimped as it is, most of us opt for maximum shields to retain our agility, which means nothing when facing a flux. Even if we could tank well past 1000 shields, even a std 600 ISK flux could put us on our knees.
Things that are truly OP have no counter except the use of the OP object in question (like flaylocks). Shield tanked calogis have MANY counters, but sadly players don't know how to play and resort to getting calogis nerfed cause they are clueless or refuse to use even the most cheapest basic thing in the game to bring us down.

I would agree with this but only if logis got more stamina than assaults.
The extra mod slots arnt suposed to be there for logi players to use assault mods (like shield extenders, armor plates, shield regulators/regenerators armor repairers). They should be being used for e-wear (stuff like, range amplifiers, code brakers, etc.)
Perhaps what the best fix would be, would be to give the logis the same slot layout as the assaults, with extra dedicated slots, that can only be used for e-wear, up to the number of slots they currently have.
This seems like it would be the best fix.
{Edit>>> Perhaps even a slot less than an assault. It would need to be tested. |

Flux grenade my ass, any decent shield tanked player is going to bolt directly for cover upon being fluxed, with stacked regulators they'll be repping shields in 4-5 seconds max.
It's funny to me how many people act as though flux grenades are an insta kill to shield tankers. All it does to my Caldari assault is delay my attack. |

Fixed. How you ask?
/turns tinfoil hat into chef's hat
First we cook our Flux nades. A well timed Flux nade can go off in the air or sooner after hitting the ground.
Next we add the Mythbuster's favorite: explosions! Grab your Mass Driver and/or Flaylock for that boost to armor damage.
*Steve Irwin accent* Now the best way hunt these predators is carefully timing your cooking and your explosives to be done at the same time.

Im fine with losing the extra slots. As long as we get comparable base hp to assaults. |

Everyone was just too stubborn to not use flux grenades. the thing about Flux grenades is, as long as logis have under 1200 shields, the grenade will always take out all of their shields. You could buff Cal logis by another 300 shield hp and say everything is fine because "flux grenades", but it's not, because while flux grenades would still be able to do their job, every other weapon in the game wouldn't be able to.
And everybody being forced to carry flux grenades or be killed by the suit is part of it being OP, it's over over centralizes the meta on the caldari logi.
You could bufff the cal logi, you could nerf the cal logi, either way, flux grenades would still do the same thing. |

Honest question though, why do you need base HP similar to assaults? Is the lack of side arm and slight lack of speed enough to balance the increased PG/CPU and equipment for most players? Id say probably not. As even with equal slots, you can put better modules in because of higher pg/cpu.
A base buff in trade off of slots would only further diminish any differences in play styles. Realistically a Logi should never be able to be quite as good at direct combat as an assault. An assault should have a higher base and higher max hp than a logi, but the logi should be able to be way more versitile.
Put it this way, if the logi can get to the same effectiveness at combat as an assault by picking the right modules, what is the point of an assault? You might as well spec logi, have a build that aims for combat, and one that aims for various other more support roles as well. |

Bones McGavins wrote:what is the point of an assault? A side arm, which is a huge bonus to anyone who doesn't use the AR.
As for why Logis should have the same if not more HP than an assault, because a dead logi can't do their job. Logistics are quite frankly terribly designed for their role as medics. I would have given them health somewhere in between assaults and heavies, speed somewhere in between assaults and scouts, a slightly lower slot count, and a side-arm instead of a light weapon. then you would have a true medic, but as it is, the only real difference between the two is side arm vs equipment.
Also, I realize that I just suggested switching their light weapon for a side-arm, despite being one of the first ones to call the idea stupid whenever it pops up, but that's only because it's such a huge nerf that it should only happen if the suit gets huge buffs in other areas that help it be a better medic. |

are you mad(crazy not angry) why is everyone hating on logis all of a sudden we need those extra module slots to save you and your ungreatful attitude while taking fire. and iff you're going to drop our speed and hp why not give us a side arm just because a update for nerfing cal logis is coming out you mind set is to whipe the entire class from existance? has your reason gone out the window? |
