I was under the impression that Aurem items would have = equivalents that you could buy with ISK.
I've been actually looking at the stats of my mods 'n stuff... some I got with Aurem and some with ISK. Obviously, you buy an in-game advantage when you use Aurem. Earlier access to hot equipment, contact grenades (nothing like it for ISK), the list goes on and on. Some of the Aurem items have drawbacks. Some do not.
My question is: Is this game just going pay to win, or does CCP plan to release ISK items with the exact same specs?
Just to be clear: If you can buy better equipment for cash that you can't get with game money that is fundamentally pay to win. Period.
I thought we weren't going to be doing that in DUST. |

Only thing I see that's pay to win is contact grenades. Everything else has the same stats except unlocked a level earlier, doesn't make it pay to win.

Go Thukk your self (the joke being proto Thukker grenades are contact and more powerful).
Aurem items are hardly "pay to win." They are "pay to play" with the items before you have unlocked them. You can use every item or better eventually, you're just saving time by paying money. |

I know nobody checks but there are ton of these posts out there. And they will fix this.
You can't actually balance it so people would buy it for aur instead of ISK because everyone has a ton of ISK anyways. |

Why does it matter. The only noticeably different aur weapons, as apposed to isk, are things that over heat a lot. Also there are impact grenades. |
