I'm not saying it'll literally shut down right away, but I have a small concern that the playerbase is dropping significantly and moreso every month despite the monthly release of small contents and fixes. If it comes to a point where there's too many players leaving while Dust 514 is performing poorly with CCP's grand promises of delivering the contents they were supposed to release and several competing AAA titles coming out, what will CCP do? Close down the servers or sell it off to another company? What about the integrated connection to EVE Online? Wouldn't that rip a part of what EVE was meant to be? Hold it off until it's polished enough for PS4? Is there a backup plan? It's just a thought. Even though I'm not a great player, I still love Dust 514, but if something happens to it...then there's always EVE Online. What are your thoughts? |

I will have to say though, that most Eve players wouldn't even notice, and of those that do, many would be happy if Dust went belly up. |

You do realize we have limitations on mouse rotation to make sure mouse users don't dominate the game, right?
What PC player that you know of would ever want to play a game where they couldn't do snap 180s?
Besides, the last thing any game community needs is something with the potential to fragment it that badly. |

That's why it'll take the playerbase to drop significantly for it to happen. Probably.
Assuming CCP isn't making money off the PS3 version, as the OP suggests hypothetically, CCP wouldn't have anything to lose and would have everything to gain.

Use this as the beta and prepare it for the ps4 launch or within a few months of ps4 launch that's the only chance I see dust having sorry to pc gamers but I hate pc... |

I have often wondered if Dust 514 should still have stayed as a beta. But I guess that the beta went on too long and CCP rushed it to the public just to calm everyone down. Square-Enix pulled their MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV off shelves and tried again and slapped a new title on it. Maybe that's what CCP needs to do. |

To be fair most pro player play on settings so a 180 would take 30 cm of mouse movement. That's how they get the headshots.
At least some. Don't get me wrong, I too think that limitations on the mouse don't bode well for the game. Saying that this game has a mouse compatibility is what I present as a selling point to most people. |
