The problem is the std and adv Calogi went from balanced logibro to weakest. The adv minmatar was already better than adv calogi with is 3 low and the std calassault always been more effective than a std calogi on the battefield in any ways. Wanna talk about Sentinel ehp at standard also? Well I feel bad for those who are only at lvl 3 tier, happy grinding. They should of gave the adv cal logi 4 high and 2 low. That would be myself. Had no need to go Proto since I actually played a Logi (used the SP for upgrading AR.....I'm pretty squishy). Most may not believe me, but my corp and a few others know that is the case. With this one "fix" I now won't be able to use any of my fits without removing something. I already have less than 300 shields (with current bonuses) and 95 armor on my best suit and all my fits have been inside 8 CPU from max values. Basically CCP has thrown out the baby with the bath water, and I am going to have some seriously interesting short-term issues to iron out in order to maintain my K17/D Nano, Stable Drop with Flux rep tool using a GEK (likely going back to Std Assault) and nothing higher than Packed A/V Nades. But I do see a silver lining.....possible nanohive racial bonus for my suits. That was my big item I always carry (yeah, even carry a triage nanohive with a suit rocking almost no armor since lots of gallente regularly in sqd), so at least I might get to see some benefits for all the SP I sunk not realizing that the Extender bonus which pushed me up to a whopping 309 shields would be removed. I hope everyone realizes I thought the lolLogi was ridiculous, but those of us not abusing the system got hit just as hard, if not worse. So please take a bit of time to realize there were some legitimate CalLogi's out there, and not all of us are FoTM types (0 SP in FG/FLP/MD). For all those finding it funny, please remember that something is always going to be best, and likely considered OP by many. Sometimes fixes go too far, and can be funny when you see someone taken down a peg, but there are likely many who feel the same way about your favorite toy as you do about this suit and we won't likely do anything but tell you to suck it up and deal......then likely make veiled references to your sexual proclivity and basic hygiene.
What on earth do you have in your low slots?

Strange, I've never had a suit that's needed a PG mod, CPU mod, definitely if I'm stacking 4 damage mods, I can't remember if the Stable Drop is more or less than the K-9 but I recommend the K-9, you can drop two of them. I highly advise you downgrade your AR to a Toxin or something and fit armor plating/repair as well as that regulator, Logi's get an inbuilt armor repair bonus, so stacking both would be beneficial to your survivability, 90 armor is madness, on any fitting I've got my shields armor at 250/250, 300/300, 400/400, STD, ADV, PRO respectively. Are your core skills up to scratch? Might help with your fitting problems.
Maybe even try your luck with KinCats, a quick logi is a good logi. |

I think you are under the assumption that I have more than 3 high and 2 low slots. I am currently using the best items possible while staying under my CPU/PG requirements. 2 Extenders, 1 dmg mod, and all mentioned above. I also generally run the std assault rifle so I can use the 2nd slot for a basic repairer instead of PG. So yes, this is the best option I have using the C/1 suit. I only have ~7 mil SP, and used it to get Logi 3, AR jacked up to high heaven (just not the fitting optimization, it's still at 1) to hold my rear position and give cover fire for heavier teammates, .and shields at 3 with 1 on everything else for shield enhancements and 1 level in base armor (should be 90, not 95 like it is now). I also have 3 in Engineering and 2 in the other one (not sure the name). So unless you can magically give me about 3-5 million SP before this hits, I'm afraid that you are looking at my top fitting and it will be even worse. So yeah, this hits some of us pretty hard. I even have the base Min BPO med suit b/c I can still stick a couple Equip on and have a very cheap Nano/Rep kit. Again, went with it versus Min Logi b/c of SP cost to spec into the BPO Min Logi suit wasn't there and my skills were already stacked on shields and extenders. P.S. Sable drop is only because it has a lower CPU/PG requirement than it's "cheaper" counterparts. *Edit* Just wanted you to know what my "best" suit was, not what I run regularly. The std AR is my main weapon, and the GEK is generally the best of the weapons I can fit without losing something important to my logi itself (and heaven forbid I try to put a Duvolle on there, I might as well call myself a CalAssault minus 60 base HP with all I gotta take out or drop effectiveness of). So I used my "OPtimum fit" (to use the phase associated with my suit choice) to display exactly how little "tankability" a non-maxxed CalLogi character can do. Which is, I hate to tell everyone, probably more people than you think based on the hate threads.
Yiiikes, are the ADV logi's really that hard to fit when using decent equipment? True Logi's have life tough! I've been thinking about speccing into logistics (legitimately) for a while, but it's a deeep SP investment, it's really the proto CalLogi's that get the hate with their 5 High/4Low, when you're not using your equipment slots properly it can get ridiculous. |
