I became a mercenary around 6 months ago, hoping to leave behind my past life. I took a new name and left everything i knew behind. After all this time I still feel unfulfilled. The daily monotomy of fighting battle after battle with no meaning. The endless cycle of death and rebirth, but for what? At most, a few hundred thousand ISK, most of which is just used to pay back all the gear I lost. The tedium of fighting battles that have no meaning for myself, for engaging in a neverending war between nations with no clear winner to be seen.
I have often dreamed of fighing for something more. fighting for a place to call my own. When alone, no allies would rally to my banner. When I finally found allies, I felt they lacked my ambition. I feel that I am just going through the motions, aiding them in battle to no end, fighting in another pointless war.
I hope to one day fight for more than myself. Not for a nation, not for an ideology, not for the sheer thrill of war itself, but to fight over a piece of land. not just any district in any planet across New Eden, but one that i have fought to control. somewhere to call my home among the stars. Somewhere i would fight forever to protect. My own Haven.
I know I will not get there alone. I know it will be difficult. I will have to work with others and leave a trail of corpses in my wake. If anyone out there could offer me guidance or direction on how to find this haven, I would be eternally greatful. We may even be able to find it together. |

Dear Friend, I am glad that you have found have found your home, and i wish that my search was as easy as yours seems. If things were different, perhaps we'd even be fighting to liberate Intaki Prime together. But the road is long, and my journey is not yet over. We may meet on the field of battle in the future, and i sincerely hope that if our paths cross, we will be fighting on the same side. Who knows, maybe Intaki Prime is the place I seek and I just haven't realised it yet?
I also wish you luck on your journey, remember, fortune will always follow those who refuse to despair. |

While you may believe that all places were made by your God, it is mankind that named, claimed and settled these places. Each one holds value to individuals in countless ways. For example, the Gallente believe Caldari Prime belongs to them as it lies in a system under their control, while the caldari believe it belongs to them for it is their homeworld. If these places do belong to your God, surely he would resolve the conflict surrounding these places and they would surrender to his will.
Have you thought it possible that your "God" is a creation by the Amarr to unite people under their banner. People will always gather behind an idea as it is intangible. Men and women will die, but ideas cannot be destroyed. This god you speak of is simply an icon of Amarr ambition. |

People will always rally behind an ideal rather than a person. People have obvious flaws while an ideal is something people can try to strive towards. most heroes are so, because they fight for that ideal not themselves. It makes a good story and controls the masses. |

I believe you were the one to start this whole debate anyway by trying to convert me to your religion. If you don't like what I am saying, I will not force my opinions upon you |

So it's finally happened. I have found others to join my cause, and we have begun raising forces to achieve our goals. while there aren't very many of us, our ambition burns with the fire of a thousand suns. We may not be ready yet, but soon we will begin our quest. we may meet others along the way. We may help them with their goals. we hope they may help with ours. All that is certain, is that with more like-minded comrades, my dream is close to becoming a reality. |
