Brace for an unbeforeseen flood of 'I WANT RESPEC BECAUSE I'VE BEEN CHEATED' threads.
Expect CCP giving in in about three weeks and granting one more 'final' respec. |

Anyone who thinks respecs are a bad idea needs to realize that when changes are made to the game, respecs should be considered.
Changes are not our fault.

No they should not. 'Technologies' change. Those enjoying benefits of FOTM are paying the price afterwards.
I got my fancy time in caldari logi for two months. Now this is the price - which I'm paying AFTERWARDS so I have accumulated ton of easy SP in the meantime. |

To the critics of Cal Logi nerf (v1):
We have to give credit for CCP for abandoning the NerfHammer 9000(tm) and leveling up on their balancing skill from L1 to L2. Heck, maybe L3 at a same go.
Is Cal Logi still too good for assault purposes? Yes, I think so. But this is the first step into right direction. Cal Logis can be tuned down again.
Overnerfing it to unusable levels would have yes fixed the OP thing - but done little good balancing wise. In that case no one would have used it (examples: Heavy+HMG nerf June 2012, Missile nerf November 2012, TAC AR nerf January 2013, Laser nerf May 2013).
Then the need would be to recreate from scratch instead of really tuning and balancing things for better. In fact, there would be the full need to run through full balance lifecycle after such meganerf and recreation (TAC ARs are example of that, they were recreated in May 2013 uprising and were instantly broken)
History can teach us few things, even regarding Dust gameplay. |

Moving the efficacy bonus of extenders to the assault class will just make the Caldari assault OP.
Clearly not the same: - Cal Assaults don't have luxury of any equipment they want (hives etc) - Cal Assaults cannot buff their Hi/Lo slots by saving PG/CPU from equipment, thereby as a no brainer have full rack of complex mods - Most importantly, Cal Assault DON'T have five hi slots, which are the most important slots for anyone (barring true armor tankers - but even they benefit from damage mods) |

Sana Rayya wrote:The CPU nerf on the Cal Logi is excessive and penalizes those using the Advanced Cal Logi suit for its intended purpose. A tanked Cal Logi Advanced suit running basic/advanced equipment will now require an excessive amount of SP in order to stack up to comparably tanked Gallente and Minmatar suits (~1 mil SP and ~700k SP, respectively). Please, CCP, at the very least do not alter the CPU at the STD/ADV level to fix a Proto level problem! More detail in this post.
Actually, the CPU 'nerf' of 20 is rather irrelevant for those logis who spend their PG/CPU on high slots and good equipment. Those people spend one of their lows for CPU upgrade and usually enhanced has done the trick, now they just upgrade into complex.
20 less CPU might on the other hand hamper those logis who use all HIs and LOs for combat modules (in case of LOs: red cans, regulators, maybe damps). As they are not willing to use a CPU upgrade for a low, they might be affected - but then again having minimal EQ usually gives all PG/CPU they ever need. |
