This guide will help you kill most if not all LLAVs in DUST 514. However I do not know if a LLAV with the highest HP that can possibly be attained will be killed by this method.
Use a basic logi suit with 2 equipment slots. Fill them with 1 basic remote explosive unit and 1 basic proxy mine unit. (If you have 2 remote explosive units equipped then you can only have 3 active mines at a time instead of 6). Fill the weapon and module slots as you wish.
Put all remote explosives and proxy mines in one large active pile on the ground out in the open some where (6 mines). Stay there to lure a LLAV towards you (put these mines where you think a LLAV will usually pass by). Always try to keep the mines between you and the LLAV. Detonate the mines just before the LLAV runs over them while trying to flatten you against the ground. This may take some practice. This method costs me roughly 20 000 ISK per fit (including basic AR and 2 proto dmg mods and 1 militia repper and 1 basic reactive plate)
Have fun killing those proto logi caldari suits with proto weapons and gear within LLAVs. You will probably make them go bankrupt.
Please also discuss the ups and downs of this method and feel free to post if you have seen a LLAV with more than 6750 HP.
Keep in mind that you can just use militia CPU and PG enhancers to fit proto mines to increase the amount of active mines. |

They will counter this. Doing this in pairs. Isn't it visible from the 3rd POV if you are about to detonate RE? They might spot it and bite you to not watch your back or sides. Bam! Another LLAV runs you over while you dance with the one in front of you Anyway thnx for the useful tip |

To counter 2 LLAVs just change position so the mines are between the you and the closest LLAV. You kill 1 then die from another LLAV. Then you respawn and kill another until none left. They lose more money than you since you will probably be doing this trick cheaply and not using proto mines. You gain 90 WP while one gains 50 WP. It isn't pretty but its better than nothing. |

i have seen mines traps all over the maps the past week, it almost as if people...dare I say it...adapted
Don't get me wrong, the Logi LAV needs to be fixed but it is nice to see people learning how to use more of the tools provided to them rather than the standard "me and my proto suit w/ proto AR are dying all the time"
Laying down mines, tossing AV and deploying some forge and swarms can really deter a team from running death taxis |

Eh havent tried that yet, gonna give it a shot. Theres no complex damage mods for explosive equipment so I'll porbably cut back on that to save some ISK. |

Theoretically if you put the prox mines close enough to the REs, the former should trigger the latter when a LLAV runs them over, right? I never considered this but you could put a few proximity mines in close cluster to a bunch or remote explosives and just wait.
A great map for this is the Spine Cross map (3 points on outside with the bridge point connecting them). Especially in Ambush that map tends to run rampant with LAVs, and I've seen people load up the bridge with prox mines/REs to great success. |

Call in another LAV with a blaster and get a gunner and shoot the LLAV with the blaster and the splash damage from the blaster will kill the LLAV driver long before it destroys the LLAV. I have done this with my buddies and it is by far the easiest method to deal with LLAVs other than using a HAV. |

On proxy - RE trigger combo: Did't work in Chromosome, don't believe it works now either. |
